"Good experience of staying in a hanok, location was a 20 minute walk to the walking street (public transport not as convenient, maybe more suitable for groups who rented a car) Breakfast provided was self service, e.g. make your own eggs/instant ramen. Apples were provided though not the freshest. First come first serve - no more milk if you arrive late (though could be limited communication skills too) We were told off for staying in the common area after checking out even though it was raining."

"It had been a really long time since I last visited Gyeongju, and I had a lot of concerns regarding the accommodation's location and traveling with my kids. In conclusion, if you're traveling with children, I highly recommend this place! ^^ It seemed like the boutique and legacy sections were run together, and breakfast was served on the 5th floor of the legacy building. The basic side dishes, seaweed soup, instant ramen, cereal, bread, etc., were worth the approximately 15,000 won for adults, but it felt a bit pricey for elementary school children. However, the staff were very kind and even prepared separate seaweed snacks for the kids, which was wonderful! There's also a kids' cafe-like area perfect for children to play, and in the basement of the boutique, there are free game machines, so the kids spent their time there when we were at the accommodation! There are also comic books. ^^ The room was generally clean, but the small patches of mold in the bathroom corners were a bit disappointing. If I visit Gyeongju again, I would definitely stay here 100% again! ^^ There's a Daiso right next door, so we could buy necessities as needed, and although the convenience store was a bit expensive, it being open 24 hours was a plus! There's no underground parking, but the lot is spacious, so we had no worries about parking. ^^ "

"Let me start by saying we only stayed for one night. I really wanted to experience a traditional hanok, but I was worried about noise and the potential discomfort of sleeping on the floor. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised! First of all, everything was spotless (like all of Korea). The lady who welcomed us was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. Outside each room, there's the guest's name, and inside you'll find everything you need, even earplugs for sleeping (though we didn't need them as we heard absolutely nothing). Directly opposite us was a room where we could go and spend time with the residence's cats. There's also a rooftop for smokers. The area is very convenient for public transport to the station and close to the heart of the nightlife, with all its small bars and shops. We had a fantastic time and would have happily stayed for more nights. Thank you so much for everything!"

"I was really surprised by how good the location was. It is next to a fantastic Chinese restaurant frequented by many locals. The hotel has above average amenities for its price point. Big bedroom and hot tub with jet massage. The breakfast was a nice touch. The self service locker was also amazing add on. There are some slight downsides. First of all I found a long hair inside of the bed sheet (I do not have long hair). Second of all, the checkout time is 11 am and I received phone call at 10:50 am telling me to hurry up and check out or they will penalize me for being late. This might be a communication issue but this just comes off as very rude and avaricious on the part of the owners. There does seem to be many mini-surcharge here and there in the hotel, but luckily I didn’t bump into any of them."

"The hotel is really well located, a short distance from the Geungwanchong tomb and the tumuli park. It is also very close to the bus terminal. The room is basic, yet with all the Korean features: 2 types of slippers, big screen TV, fridge with bottles of water, air con. Complimentary tea or coffee is available in the kitchen. The only issues in my room were that it was very hard to sit at the desk because there was not enough space between the desk and the bed and I could not pull the chair far enough from the desk to sit comfortably. The other annoying thing was that anytime someone took a shower on an upper floor the water being drained down would make a lot of noise."

"First off, I really liked that the bathroom and bedroom were separate. The room felt a bit smaller than I expected, but it was perfectly adequate for leaving luggage and sleeping after being out. The location was also great, being close to attractions like Cheomseongdae. It was a nice distance to stroll over in the evening to see the media art and then walk back. They also provided extra towels right away whenever needed, so that wasn't an issue. I stayed for multiple nights, and aside from not having a parking spot on the first night and having to park in the public parking lot in front of the hotel, it was a very satisfying stay. I plan to use this place again next time I visit Gyeongju."

"The location is great! It's very convenient to get here from Busan Haeundae by intercity bus, taking just over an hour, and then it's a short walk to the hotel after getting off. The hotel is located near the intercity bus terminal, with many bus routes available. You can take a direct bus to Daereungwon Tomb Complex and Hwanglidan-gil Road, or walk there in about twenty minutes. My favorite part is having a McDonald's and a Twosome Place coffee shop right next door, which is super convenient for breakfast. The hotel room is very spacious, and the bathroom is incredibly huge. The shower has great water pressure. The soundproofing in the room could be a bit better, and the ventilation isn't perfect, so you might need to open a window. Other than that, everything else is good, it's clean, and offers excellent value for money."

"I'm in my 20s. The accommodation is clean and pretty, the facilities are good, and the bathroom is good. The Hanok is pretty, the landscaping is pretty, the stars in the night sky are pretty, and there are many delicious restaurants nearby. This is my first trip to Gyeongju, but I'm making a lot of good memories."

"The room facilities are new, clean, and there's no unpleasant smell; the toilet is very comfortable. It's just a few minutes' walk to the intercity bus station, express bus terminal, and regular bus stops. You can walk to the commercial area and city attractions in about 20 minutes. There are many restaurants nearby, and the Central Market is also close, which is very convenient. The breakfast is also fantastic, with a wide variety of dishes and great taste, like Korean stir-fried pork, sweet rice punch, and rice that's fresher and more delicious than what you'd find in outside restaurants. The only minor downsides are that there's no shower curtain for the bathtub, so water tends to splash onto the floor, and rooms facing the main road on the opposite side of the entrance can be noisy. It's not very quiet if you open the window for ventilation."

"Room Environment: Being on the first floor was incredibly convenient. The toilet and shower were separate, there was a large TV, and while there was no view from the window, it let in plenty of sunlight. The bathroom was very clean, as was the room floor. Minor Drawbacks: Two lights were broken. The mirror lighting was too dim, and the light at the room entrance flickered. There was no suitable small lamp to leave on while sleeping, and the fridge was tiny. Plenty of towels were provided, along with a kettle. Service Attitude: The host was very proactive and always asked if I needed water or towels whenever we met outside. Coffee sachets and bottled water were also available at the front desk for self-service. The cutest part was the public restroom outside the building – very clean. Surrounding Area: For coffee lovers, it’s a blessing! Step out of the hotel, turn left, and in 30 seconds you can enjoy a wake-up coffee (for serious coffee drinkers: buy the smallest bottle of milk + an espresso shot to mix yourself, take the remaining milk back to the hotel, then buy another espresso shot to make a slightly chilled latte back at the hotel). Turn left again, then left, and you'll find McDonald's. Cross the main road, and there's a Nonghyup supermarket. Walk straight, and you'll reach the end of Hwanglidan-gil Street. To get back to the hotel, walk down the main street to the main road, turn left, follow the main road past Geumgwanchong Tomb until you see McDonald's, and then you're back at the hotel. You can easily find bike rentals for 10,000 KRW for half a day or 15,000 KRW for a full day at the shop opposite McDonald's."

Outstanding
GGuest UserI had such a wonderful stay at this hanok-style hotel that I’m already dreaming of coming back. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm, welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The traditional architecture, the soft lights in the courtyard at night and the view over the tiled rooftops created a very special atmosphere that you just don’t get in a “normal” hotel. My room was cozy, bright and spotlessly clean. I especially loved the little wooden platform by the window with the cushions – it became my favorite spot to sit with a book, drink a coffee and look out over the rooftops and mountains. Waking up to that view in the morning and seeing the same roofs softly lit at night made my stay feel almost magical. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. You can feel that they really care about their guests and about sharing Korean culture. The small details, like the beautiful traditional bookmark as a gift, made me feel genuinely appreciated and added a personal touch I will not forget. Overall, this stay was one of the highlights of my trip. If you are looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity and a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of a hanok neighborhood, I can only highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely love to stay here again.

SstanloonaAn amazing once-in-a-lifetime hanok experience!! The place was absolutely beautiful, and our host was the kindest person ever. Their service was amazing, even providing us with a bottle of wine, and free breakfast even though it originally didn’t come with our booking. We visited Gyeongju for 3 nights during the windy winter of February, so some of the pros & cons may not be applicable for other seasons: Pros: - Amazing location: right in the heart of Gyeongju’s trendy hanok district, it is a few minutes walk from Hwangnidan-Gil street, Cheonmachong etc. Despite this district being absolutely PACKED in the weekend, our hanok was tucked in a more cozy, quiet corner, above a restaurant. It was then really quiet in our hanok, and we surprisingly didn’t have any problem of smells from the restaurant downstairs coming up into our rooms. - Clean aesthetic that perfectly balances the vibes of a traditional hanok, and a modern hotel. Suitable for those travelling with older families, for example, who may not be able to sleep comfortably on hard floors. The interior designer for this hanok deserves a raise - Floor heating was done well, and we didn’t feel cold at all despite the winds at night during our winter stay - gigantic TV - host was very kind and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp! - appreciated that the toilet and shower were very clean and modern as well! Cons: - there weren’t any wardrobes, and not many hangers were provided to hang your clothes. It’s only a minor issue, since we had more coats for our winter wear. However, since most people are booking this hanok for short stays, it shouldnt be a big issue either - as we came here via car at night, the parking lot assigned to us was a ~2min walk away from the actual hanok, so it was a bit confusing to locate the parking lot and hanok in the dark at first. - at night, the winds in the winter get quite strong, and so like any wooden house - there will naturally be quite a bit of sound like the wooden door shaking, sound of wind etc. Coming from the city, we were a bit scared and thought there were intruders at first LOL. This isn’t a big problem (especially during less windy seasons), but I think it’s just worth keeping in mind, especially if you are very sensitive to sounds when sleeping. If these cons aren’t applicable or big issues for you, then yes I would more than recommend this hanok stay!!! It’s a rare experience, and hence worth the money imho!

GGuest UserI stayed at this hostel and felt it had excellent value for money. The location, price, and cleanliness were all very good. It is very close to the bus terminal in Gyeongju, and I could reach the main streets within a few minutes on foot. Bus travel is very common in Gyeongju, so I especially liked how close it was not only to the terminal but also to bus stops going to the city center. The building was very clean and full of stylish and creative details. I could really feel the owner’s personality and care in the design. The rooms were divided into small sections such as 4-bed rooms, so everything was easy to understand and comfortable. The room key used a touch system, and the beds were large enough. I even had plenty of space for my luggage at the foot of the bed. The toilet and shower rooms were separated. The shower area was a shared shower room with several showers inside one large room. The changing area and entrance were together, so it could feel a little narrow when other guests were there, but everything was clean and functional. I arrived earlier than check-in time, but I could leave my luggage there. I also received clear instructions about the password and security system, so I felt safe. Even after check-out, they kindly allowed me to leave my large luggage there for a while. Overall, I received very good service and had a great stay.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at this villa. It is located away from the city centre, offering a quiet and peaceful environment. Having a car makes getting around very convenient. While it is possible to take a bus or use ride-hailing services, public transport may be less convenient as buses run approximately every 30 minutes. There are limited dining options nearby. We found that many restaurants in Gyeongju primarily offer dine-in service, so takeaway options can be difficult to find. The villa is modern, well-equipped, and appears relatively new. Our unit came with a private pool, which was a great feature. The property is also pet-friendly, with thoughtful facilities such as a pet shower area, pet play area, and dedicated dog and cat houses, making it a comfortable stay for those travelling with pets. The amenities and installations felt new and well maintained. There were also a few additional villas still under construction in the surrounding area, suggesting that the development is continuing to expand.

AAnonymous UserThe shower and toilet are in the same space (no partition or curtain), so the floor gets wet when you shower, but the drainage is good. You can't flush toilet paper down the toilet (this is common in Gyeongju; public restrooms near Woljeonggyo and at the station are exceptions). Guests get 20% off at the ”Do not disturb” cafe along the road (show room key, receipt, or booking confirmation). Many guests are foreign families, and the Hanbok rental area can get crowded with foreigners at certain times. The hotel staff's service was neither good nor bad (English spoken). They readily agreed to take photos when I rented a Hanbok.
