This hotel boasts unbeatable views. Lake Kawaguchiko is right next door, and Mount Fuji stands majestically behind it. You can choose between a lake view room or a mountain view room, but there isn't an option to see both the lake and the mountain from the same room. The hotel's service is absolutely superb. There's a frequent shuttle bus service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. Check-in is handled by a dedicated staff member who comes to you, so you don't have to wait in line at the front desk. The dinner at the hotel is incredibly diverse, with a wide selection of Japanese dishes like sushi, Western cuisine, and Chinese food, all of which are delicious. Breakfast is slightly less impressive than dinner but still very extensive. The rooms are spacious, and the futons are already laid out for you by staff upon arrival. Overall, it's a hotel with excellent value for money, though it does show a little age.

The location is acceptable and convenient enough for exploring the Fuji area, though it’s not particularly outstanding. It serves well as a base for sightseeing and enjoying the surrounding nature.
The hotel itself feels somewhat aging, and parts of the property show signs of wear. While the room had a traditional Japanese style that added to the atmosphere, I did notice some dust on the tatami floor, which was slightly disappointing. A bit more attention to detailed cleaning and maintenance would greatly improve the overall impression.
The highlight of the stay was definitely the top floor onsen. The bathing facilities were pleasant and relaxing, providing a wonderful way to unwind after a day of exploring. The onsen area appeared clean and well-maintained, and the experience was peaceful and enjoyable.

The hotel offers a shuttle service, with pick-ups in the afternoon and drop-offs until around 10 PM. They also provide transportation to Oishi Park; just contact the front desk in advance. This time, I booked a Japanese family room, which was quite spacious with a separate wet and dry area. The beds were already made when I entered. From the room, I could see Mount Fuji in the distance – it was absolutely beautiful to wake up and do my makeup at the table while admiring the view. Both breakfast and dinner were set menus, which was nice. The hotel service was excellent, and there was a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, so language was not an issue at all.

The check-in is smooth and easy. The reception is polite and helpful. The hotel is a fair bit of distance away from the kawaguchiko station, hence it will be good if you travel light, if you plan to walk to the hotel, which is appx 10-15 minutes.
The Mt Fuji view at the rooftop made it all worthwhile.

This hotel's biggest advantage is its location, right next to Nanhu Zhuang. It also has an on-site hot spring bath. The room facilities are a bit dated, but since it's a Japanese-style room, it doesn't feel too bad. However, the value for money is somewhat disappointing, and the service is far from as attentive as hotels back home. We arrived at the station at 10 PM and asked the front desk to send a car to pick us up, only to be told the shuttle had stopped running and we could walk over. Check-out is as early as 10 AM, and even extending to 11 AM costs an extra 3000 JPY. There's no laundry room or gym (outside of the rooms). Well, when you're abroad, sometimes you just have to make do.

Traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with beautiful lake side view and experienced front desk. The hotel is located just near the famous Tenjozan cable car station and quite easy to access to other attraction site on foot or by riding a bicycle. A 90 min all-you-can-eat hot pot buffet is provided during the stay as well as the delicate Japanese style breakfast. Hot spring can be found in each guest room and on the 2nd floor for public use as well. Overall, I am quite happy with my visit to the Breezy Bay hotel.

The old gentleman at the reception was very kind and sweet. We figured he was the owner. He only waits until 10 PM, then he goes to bed to rest. The hotel closes at 10 PM and reopens at 6 AM, so make sure to arrange your arrival/departure times beforehand if you need to come and go between those hours. We couldn't use the bathhouse. The room was really nice, with clean tatami mats, comfortable and warm futons, and clean, soft blankets. Each floor has a hot water dispenser, cups, and a trash can. The atmosphere is very pleasant, we recommend it!

The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. We chose a room with windows, and the hotel gave us a corner room, so the front window offered a perfect view of Lake Kawaguchiko, and the side window overlooked Mount Fuji. The hotel also has free hot spring baths, which was a nice bonus. We also booked breakfast and dinner, and they were quite good!

Excellent value for money! You can see Mount Fuji directly from the room just by opening the curtains. The restaurant is a bit mediocre; it tends to get chaotic because they cater to many tour groups. The nearest Japanese restaurant closes early, so you'll have to go near Kawaguchiko Station for dinner.

First time stay . Thought it come with the private outdoor bath but realize the official website and 3rd party booking us different ,so slightly get disappointed.

Amazing
GGuest UserMy mother and I stayed at The Toki for three nights in mid-April, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything about the property felt thoughtful and comfortable.
The hotel is about a kilometre from the station area, and they make this commute effortless with a shuttle service running multiple times an hour between the station and the reception. Since the villas are set on a steep slope, they also shuttle guests up and down between the reception and the villas, which was incredibly convenient and much appreciated.
When we checked in, they had a Mount Fuji-shaped chiffon cake waiting for us in the dining area. It was delicious! One of the things we loved most was the breakfast service. Each morning, breakfast was delivered directly to our doorstep; at check-in, we were simply asked to choose our meal from the menu and select a delivery time. Great way to start the day.
They also offer daily housekeeping, and if you choose to skip it on any day, they give you coupons to use at the little shop near reception, which stocks food ike cup noodles, cakes, chips, nuts etc., and fun souvenirs as well.
The staff were consistently warm, friendly, accommodating and helpful, and their excellent English made everything especially easy for us.
The villa itself was outstanding. Ours had completely unobstructed views of Mount Fuji from every window on both the floors, including the bathroom, which was amazing. Waking up to those views each day was unforgettable. The sunny, clear days were a huge bonus. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and there was even barbecue equipment for the large terrace. The villa was impeccably clean and equipped with every amenity we could possibly have needed.
We had a truly fantastic stay at The Toki, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable stay in Kawaguchiko.
MmgchshcyThis is a fantastic Japanese onsen hotel! The views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko are stunning, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The shuttle service is very convenient, and I slept so well after a relaxing soak in the hot spring at night. 😊
MM693401****Pros:
1. The Mt. Fuji view was perfect. The cleanliness and condition of the facilities were absolutely fine, even exceeding expectations. It's much better than some older, traditional hotels with Mt. Fuji views, offering excellent value for money at this price point.
2. The hotel service was also great. From the front desk to the restaurant staff and the housekeepers, everyone offered service with a smile. Perhaps because it was the off-season, another couple checking in at the same time received a room upgrade. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station.
3. The restaurant staff were very professional. While the sukiyaki for dinner wasn't a huge surprise, it was decent and had no flaws.
4. It's only a few hundred meters from Oishi Park, which is easily walkable. Compared to other attractions, it's a bit more niche, but the scenery is beautiful and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Cons:
1. It's quite a distance from Kawaguchiko Station, making it a bit far from other attractions.
2. You can't see Mt. Fuji at night due to the lack of light (which isn't the hotel's fault).
3. All rooms are non-smoking, and the small open space in front of the hotel with Mt. Fuji views is also a non-smoking area. There's only a small designated smoking area at the back entrance of the hotel. As a smoker, it's a bit inconvenient, but completely understandable and acceptable.
4. Also, there are no convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance of the hotel. The Oishi Store listed on Apple Maps is actually closed.
5. To reach the hotel, you have to walk up a relatively long slope. It can be a bit tiring if you're on foot, but once you're down the slope, you're right by Lake Kawaguchiko, and there are very few people.
Overall, the hotel is excellent. If you're staying with a partner, you can take a walk along Lake Kawaguchiko below the hotel. With Mt. Fuji right in front of you, the atmosphere is romantic and there are few people around. Highly recommended.
DDadayanjinglongExcellent value for money! The view of Mount Fuji from the room was truly amazing. The cabin had four beds, perfect for four people. Cutlery and an oven were also well-stocked. Breakfast was quite unique and could be enjoyed inside the cabin! If you're driving and have a group for a BBQ, it would be absolutely fantastic!
Overall a great stay, but there are two areas I hope the hotel can improve:
1. There are two windows on the second floor of the cabin without curtains. Even though it's in the mountains, it was still quite bright at night, and I was woken up by the light. Curtains would be a great addition.
2. There's no floor heating on the second floor, and no slippers were provided, so my feet got really cold. If you're sensitive to cold, I recommend turning on the air conditioning on the second floor as soon as you check in.
GGuest UserI had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home. The modern, thoughtful design of the property creates such a relaxing atmosphere throughout.
The Highlights:
• The Onsen Experience: Having both a private in-room onsen and access to the beautifully maintained private onsen facilities was a true luxury. It made the stay incredibly rejuvenating.
• Dining: The breakfast spread was delicious and offered a great variety to start the day. As a bonus, there is a fantastic Indian restaurant right across the street that serves amazing food—definitely worth a visit!
• Service: The housekeeping was meticulous, ensuring the room was spotless every single day.
Everything about this stay was top-tier. If you are looking for a place with great aesthetics, wonderful service, and a relaxing onsen experience, I highly recommend booking here. I can't wait to back!
KKanoksri K.The room is a comfortable size and offers a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the corner. It is clean and well equipped, with individual air-conditioning in the room. All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. Parking is available, located a short distance from the hotel.
AAnonymous UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel, it exceeded my expectations!
**Facilities:** I saw some guests mention the hotel being old, but actually, the facilities are excellent. Besides the distinctive tatami rooms and rooms facing Mount Fuji, there's also the hotel's special hot spring. The outdoor bath has such a great vibe, and it's real hot spring water – my skin felt so smooth afterwards.
**Environment:** There are absolutely no issues with the hotel's environment, cleanliness, or rooms; it meets a four-star-plus standard. You can see a full view of Mount Fuji within a 3-minute walk from the hotel, with both sunrise and sunset clearly visible.
**Dining:** The hotel's breakfast isn't particularly varied; I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it. Dinner, however, is highly recommended. It offers a good variety of Japanese specialties, and many people think it's much better than eating out. Some reviews recommend the Wheat restaurant in the hotel courtyard or the restaurant across the street, but the cost-effectiveness might not live up to expectations, and the actual standard could be quite different.
**Service:** I didn't give five stars for service. The hotel's front desk offers Chinese service, and the Chinese staff are especially friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with no communication barriers. However, I was very dissatisfied with the restaurant staff, who I believe were Indian. Breakfast ends at 9:30 AM, and we thought we just needed to have our food by 9:30 AM and wouldn't get more. Instead, the server rudely told us to ”Go Out!” in an impolite manner while we were still eating our paid breakfast. These four stars are solely for the excellent front desk service.
**Additional Notes:** If you have high standards for a hotel, want a hot spring experience, and wish to be close to Mount Fuji, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland and a few minutes from Kawaguchiko Bus Terminal, which is very convenient for returning to Tokyo or other places. The front desk service is fantastic; a big thank you to the Chinese lady at the front desk.
GGuest UserStunning views of Mount Fuji, with plenty of parking available. The staff are friendly, the onsen is excellent, and it was an overall enjoyable stay.
Bbrayden_foongIt was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.
GGuest UserAn Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At
We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan.
The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed.
Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you.
One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there.
I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient!
I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.
