"Stayed here during our trip to Matsumoto and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The room was extremely clean and well maintained, which made the stay very comfortable. The price was also very fair and affordable for what you get. One small downside was that the onsen was extremely crowded during our stay, so we unfortunately couldn’t really use it properly. However, the hotel itself was pleasant overall and we appreciated the small touches, such as the free umbrellas available for guests to borrow. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and good value stay in Matsumoto."

"Nice Onsen hotel in Matsumoto, at the heart of the Armsana Onsen town. Large room for 4 of us with futon to sleep on, very traditional style. Nice onsen hotel that has adequate amenitiess available for use. Parking is a short walk away. Hotel deployed a staff to lead me to the car park wit ample lots."

"In the second day of hotel, we planned out trip to the castle, shopping street, and the Japanese alps area. So we had breakfast early and went to the station to meet our guide. After coming back from the trip, we took taxi again to the hotel. When we booked our trip to the station from the hotel, we realized that the hotel provided frequent trips to and from the station. As we were tired, we went to onsen, which was provided by the hotel. It was a free service or included in the stay, I think. The onsen is located in another big hotel and the bus ride took 30 minutes. There were many people from many hotels going together to the onsen hotel. The onsen was pretty big, two indoor pools and two outdoor pools. We enjoyed the warm water and relaxed. The bus brought us back to the hotel at 9 pm. The hotel gave new towels and other supplies in the door of our room as we didn’t have a cleaning service in the morning. Anyway, the hotel restaurant is good and the free shuttle bus service is exceptional as no reservation was necessary. I will visit this hotel again when we travel to Matsumoto next time."

"Everything was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet. The soba and ice cream were delicious! The location is perfect—close to the train station and many city attractions. The reception staff provided great service, and I was able to leave my luggage there after checking out."

"The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious, especially the pork cutlet curry rice which you could customize yourself. And at just 1200 yen, it was really great value for money! Besides that, the hotel's location is super convenient with lots of great food options nearby. The guy at the front desk spoke excellent English too. Parking at the hotel was also very easy! Overall, the service gets full marks!"

"Standard business hotel. It’s clean and simple. However, it looks and smells old. The hallway has a musty smell and the hotel bathroom smells of wet clothes that didn’t dry well. Front desk service is excellent as they went as far as calling my next hotel to help arrange for luggage delivery (usually front desk just accepts without questions). In addition, they speak decent English. The hotel also provides free shuttle to an offsite onsen although I didn’t have a chance to make use of it."

"I stayed for one night and honestly, there was nothing to complain about. I was completely satisfied. The room and all other facilities were clean, the staff were lovely, and the check-in process was efficient. It was also convenient that there was no check-out procedure required. I didn't use the bath, so I can't comment on that. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant stay from start to finish. Thank you! If I ever visit Matsumoto again, I'd definitely consider staying here. Highly recommend!"

"A very nice Japanese-style hotel, like an ancestral home, well decorated and maintained. The whole building has two floors, and the restaurant is on the second floor. Breakfast is a typical Japanese breakfast, and the latest one is 8:30. There should be guest rooms on the first and second floors, and there are private and public bathrooms on the first floor. The hot spring pool is very clean, but also very hot. The room is very spacious, with just enough space for four beds. There is an indoor bathroom, but no shower room. The indoor balcony looks out to the garden view, which has a good view and is very quiet. The transportation is also convenient. There is a bus stop to Matsumoto Station at the door, and the journey takes about 25 minutes. PS: The hotel feels like it is run by a family of four, father, brother and sister. Seeing that there are no reviews on Ctrip, I hope the reviews can help everyone. Personal test, recommended to friends who go to Matsumoto."

"Good hotel. Everything is simple, clean, and comfortable. There's a room with complimentary tea, not just any tea but high-quality green tea, available until 6 PM. At the front desk, you can get all necessities like disposable utensils, coffee, tea, and bathrobes. Guests have free access to the onsen, with separate times for men and women. The only thing to note is if you weigh more than 100kg and there are two of you, it's probably best not to book a semi-double bed. The air conditioning was quiet, and the window opened. The fridge, however, was quite weak at cooling. I would definitely stay here again; I liked it."

"The room was quite spacious for Japan, able to fit two large suitcases. A simple breakfast is provided. The location is excellent, very close to the JR station, and the surrounding area is lively. You can help yourself to various amenities like Pola skincare (toner, lotion, facial cleanser) and tea bags."
