GGuest UserWhat I appreciated most about this hotel is that being on the 80th-plus floor, you're essentially above Jakarta's hustle and bustle. There's absolutely no traffic or religious prayer noise, making for an excellent sleep experience. The room facilities are simple but very new, modern, and bright, completely avoiding the classic yet stale and slightly oppressive atmosphere found in many older five-star hotels in Jakarta. The TV and sound system have stereo, and the bathtub provides instant hot water. For these reasons alone, I highly recommend it for a weekend staycation or a short business trip.
The hotel only has one restaurant and one high-altitude bar, both sharing a high-rise terrace. The lobby is also quite small and lacks a lobby bar. The pool and gym are on the smaller side. While the dining and entertainment options might be a bit limited, overall it's extremely comfortable and the minor drawbacks don't detract from its overall appeal. Highly recommended.

220020We had an awesome time at Shangrila Jakarta. Booking the clubroom was the best decision as we could have free flow drinks, afternoon tea and evening canapes. For those with children and not allowed into the lounge during evening time, they have allocated an area in the lobby lounge for families to enjoy their evening canapes and adults could still order any alcohol drinks served ala carte should they desire to do so—all inclusive. Lounge food was delicious. There were scones, salmon, smoked salmon sandwiches, profiteroles, sushi, satay, cakes etc. we would absolutely do the same should we be going to Jakarta again. There’s also a water playground with water slides and big tipping bucket for children. Pool is big and enjoyable. There are also fringe activities for children like bracelet making and also a bouncy castle and a swing.
Rooms were kept clean and tidy and the toilet (with separate bathtub and shower) was huge! Room temperature control was accurate and good too.
The only thing is that it is not located walking distance/connected to the big malls. But taking a bluebird cab out to mega malls is easy and also of budget cost.
Breakfast spread is amazing and seating was fast too.
Kids were also greeted with goodie bags on arrival. Hospitality was great. Thanks so much Shangrila!

AAnonymous UserLocation is excellent. Crossing the busy road to go to GI is a breeze coz the guards will help to stop the cars to let us cross. The room is huge. Breakfast is simple. Some days we didn’t even go down for breakfast. Service is good. We would stay here again as it’s so easy to go to GI and Thamrin City.

AAnonymous UserThe service was excellent, and the breakfast was great. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to catch a taxi. It's about a 38-minute drive to the airport. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including local restaurants and Western chains, with a Starbucks right next door. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jakarta.

MMr PengGrand Orchardz Hotel Kemayoran, Jakarta – conveniently located with warm and attentive service. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offers a rich variety of delicious options. It's great value for money. GGuest UserA mixed bag of feelings here. I thought I was feeling lucky when they told me at check-in that I was getting a complimentary upgrade (to Deluxe) Unfortunately I was plagued with a number of recurrent issues. The room itself is very nice (311), best thing about it was the bed and the views into the city by the window. With that said, it did have a number of issues, so it was not the finished article in my mind (the safe locked without instructions, the wooden strip on the floor coming off making me trip, the kettle malfunctioning, not hot water on the basin, so had to use the kettle to shave daily) When I arrived, it had not been fully cleaned (see pictures) All of these were actually minor issues vs. other stuff I experienced, I didn't make much of it as I was getting an upgrade. The problems came a few days later when it started raining, and suddenly I was getting sore throats in the room with the temp marking almost 25c and the air con off. I had to take mucolytics and anti-flu tablets cause I was getting a bad cold there. I was wondering if the air conduct were releasing bad spores into the air because it was so tatty (pictures attached)
So with no heating, I got cold there with 27c outside, I find this very very strange.
But the much bigger problem was a few days later when I was hearing massive thumps, bangs and wall stomping from the room right above me, they had placed a family with 4 kids on top of me and it went on at all times in the evening. It got so bad that I requested a change of room, and surprise, they gave me a really REALLY bad downgrade to the 17th floor in a much smaller room, on a really grotty floor that looked like a 2 star highway motel. I thought maybe they were penalising me. The staff at reception told me the next day the people checked out, but the same noises continued another 2 days, so they lied to me or they placed another family with noisy children. The floor on top is super thin. You can hear anyone walking as if they re stomping on it.It will drive you crazy. I also heard people next door hammering something at 1 am in the morning for two nights straight. This hotel has big structural problems. I don't pay $520 to get tortured, it felt like it at some point.
On a separate note, the breakfast service was more like a brunch, very varied and many choices (except for meat and fish that was very underwhelming) They had a temp control management problem, there were mornings when I touched the trays and they were at room temp. Also the plates for the hot section are not heated, so that with the powerful air con overhead translated into your hot food going lukewarm almost immediately, which makes it taste disgusting.
It was only the last 2 or 3 days when I started placing my plates on the griddle for a few mins with the staff's permission, when I could finally start eating hot food. Due to this, I was getting ”stomach runs” every single day after breakfast, except for two days. This is a breach of H&S
So there are several issues that affected my health here.
The restaurant and cafe in the evening had some good meals. The Mexican had some Western tucker that I enjoyed, my last meal (Mexican enchiladas) was underwhelming, felt like cantine food that was microwaved and badly, because I had to send it back for being lukewarm.
Overall I cannot recommend this hotel due to numerous health problems I suffered. I also discovered that if it weren't for the upgrade, I would have been given a horrible room like the one I saw quite possibly.(the room I received cost almost $1000 for two weeks, still very overpriced) This wasn't cheap, and I feel it was so expensive for what it was. Definitely not a 4 star, a 3 star is more befitting.
The staff was mostly corteous, And premises are up to standard only in places. The gym was very nice. The pool area nice with some views, if only a little tiny..

張張建華 LoireAn old-school upscale business hotel. Very good service with friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with adequate amenities. With international electric sockets that was very convenient for international tourists. A Family Mart and a KFC are just round the corner, Without 10 minutes walk to find many eateries. Not around with shopping centres.
The swimming pool and full-gear gym were excellent!
I'd in particular mention Tria of the lobby lounge. I went to the lounge also every evening throughout my stay, Tria was very friendly and consistently provided excellent service.

GGuest UserStayed at Pullman Thamrin and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is definitely a big plus, it is directly connected to Grand Indonesia, which is one of the largest malls in Jakarta, making it super convenient for shopping and dining.
The hotel staff were very friendly, polite, and always ready to help, which made the stay feel welcoming and comfortable. Service was consistently good throughout.
Breakfast had a wide variety of options to choose from, though the flavours were average and could be improved.
One downside was the hotel pick up and drop off point, which was not very straightforward and can be a bit confusing, especially for first time visitors.
Overall, still a solid choice for its prime location and warm service.

- Aircon isnt fully functional
- Unpleasant bathroom odour & stainy sink.
- Dirty sofa, that has been through ”adultery business” and has not been cleaned.
- The bed linen & towels didnt feel fresh & the room itself looks like it hasnt been refurbished in a loooong time.
- Doesnt offer in-room iron

NADIA and Farhan, in particular, helped us change rooms quickly and were incredibly kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling very happy. Truly 5-star service!
