The hotel is good and affordable, with a very strategic location in the city center of Chengdu. It’s close to shopping areas and the station, which made getting around very convenient. The hotel staff are friendly, and the room was clean.
The only downside was the there is small space in shower room, so when we showered, water tended to spill out and made the floor wet. However, overall we really liked this hotel and enjoyed our stay🙂

The hotel is very centrally located, making it extremely convenient for exploring the city. The building and interiors are beautiful, with a stylish and well-thought-out design. While some areas feel slightly worn, everything is still in good condition and well maintained.
The service was excellent: all the staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was also very clean, which we really appreciated.
As a pleasant surprise, we were given a complimentary room upgrade to a very beautiful room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel staff messaged me before my arrival, asking about my travel arrangements and providing excellent directions. I was very impressed with this aspect.
From Chunxi Road, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the hotel. It's located in a relatively quiet alley, less crowded than the main road, so it might be a little difficult to find the first time. However, you can always contact the staff if you get lost.
The hotel's location is quite private. The rooms are comfortable, with separate living and sleeping areas, and the bathroom in the middle.
However, the back of the hotel is a rental parking lot, and I felt the windows weren't very soundproof. During my stay, there was constant construction, resulting in noise, vibrations, and dust throughout the day and night, which disturbed my sleep. The walls weren't very soundproof either; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room and the front of the hotel.
The staff provided good service. There's a work and lounge area on the first floor, and you can heat up breakfast in the microwave provided downstairs.
Overall, I was impressed and would consider using their services again.

Probably my favorite homestay in Chengdu, if not China. Room is spacious, clean and sunny. Balcony is a bonus, esp on sunny days. The design is effortlessly chic and charming, with quality and functional furniture. The microwave, fridge and washer make long (or short) term stays very convenient.
Location is amazing; you’re right in downtown, less than five mins walk from TaiKoo Li, IFS (and so many other malls) and Chunxi Road. Metro is also just a five mins walk so you can easily get to other areas.
The host is very helpful and responsive and they were so kind to give me a sunny room upon request. The cleaning ladies are also very generous with the amenities, giving multiples of water bottles, towels, napkins, slippers, etc. The room is located in a residential building without a traditional front desk; so while you won’t feel like you’re walking through The Four Seasons Hotel, you’re definitely getting luxe service once you check in. Highly recommend.

I've stayed at the Mega Hotel many times; every time I come to Chengdu, I choose this hotel, and it's truly excellent. The room is very clean and tidy, with complete facilities and a comfortable bed, ensuring I have a very pleasant night's sleep. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, with great transportation options nearby, making getting around hassle-free. Plus, there are plenty of dining and shopping spots nearby, which makes my trip even more relaxed and enjoyable. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect; it's a mere 3-minute walk to the shuttle bus pick-up point for tourist attractions. Our housekeeper was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, giving us a heads-up on everything before our arrival. Since our flight back was late at night, they even extended our check-out time and held onto our luggage. The room was meticulously cleaned every day, and the staff even arranged my child's plush toy in a super cute way, haha! I have to say, this is the most perfect hotel apartment I've ever stayed in. The facilities are top-notch: kitchenware, a fridge, a washer-drydryer combo, a huge projector, and a Bluetooth speaker. Just a heads-up for future guests: you might need to space out your showers, or you could run out of hot water. Also, you might have to wait a bit for the elevator during peak hours, but honestly, the location alone makes up for any minor inconvenience. Highly recommend staying here; the prime location and excellent value for money are more than enough to make it a fantastic choice.

I booked a room with a bathtub, and it was incredibly spacious, clean, and well-soundproofed. It even had a projector, and the air conditioning heated up the room nicely. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful! Downstairs, there are plenty of food options and a shopping mall, plus the transportation is super convenient with a subway station nearby. It was an excellent stay – I'll definitely be back!

This hotel is right by Chunxi Road, so the area around it is really bustling. The front desk is on the second floor, so you have to go up. The room itself was very clean and well-decorated. When I first checked in, I wasn't too happy with the view outside the window or the natural light. As soon as the hotel manager found out, they immediately moved me to a different room. The manager personally handled everything, even helping me with my luggage, which was excellent service. All in all, if you're staying near Chunxi Road in Chengdu, this hotel is a really good choice.

GGuest UserI was incredibly satisfied with my stay at this hotel in Chengdu! The environment is fantastic, a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. Every evening, there's even live classical music to enjoy. The room is very spacious, exactly like the pictures, and comfortably accommodated my family. It was exceptionally clean, which as a germaphobe, I really appreciated! Every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and friendly. Even my child said we have to stay at Pushi Hotel again next time we're in Chengdu!

Check-in was incredibly attentive, with friendly and efficient front desk staff, and a very chatty concierge who recommended lots of great places to eat, drink, and explore. The room was spacious and clean, with a cozy and elegant Japanese design. The highlight was definitely the outdoor hot spring baths at the spa center; soaking in the natural springs, all my fatigue melted away – it was a truly amazing experience. Breakfast offered a good variety, including exquisite à la carte set meals, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. The hotel's location is a bit out of the city, in a quiet and secluded area, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

You can walk to popular photo spots and even see the 'blue tears' phenomenon. Plus, it's really close to the Dujiangyan scenic area. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was fresh, and the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a really refreshing night's sleep. Hot water in the bathroom came quickly, and the toiletries were branded mini-bottles, which was a nice touch.

GGuest UserThe family room was quite spacious (I only took a picture of half of it after the kids messed it up). The cleanliness was great, and they even had robots to deliver items. Breakfast was good too, and the staff were all very kind. Right in front of the hotel, there are two snack streets with lots of delicious food. It's also very close to Kuanzhai Alley, just a 10-minute walk away.

It's the best hotel to stay at when visiting Chengdu.

Location
On a long street with many restaurants and shops along the street and a self service ATM 5 -10 min walk away, including a small market in the mornings. It is a residential area, so you will most likely be the only foreigner, but people are extremely friendly and helpful, albeit the stares. The entrance faced the main road and was well lit. There is a flight of stairs that you will need to go up to get to the hostel area. If you have not tried hot pot, I would def recommend going to the Haichiniu Xianxianqie Beef Self service Hot Pot place which is around 5 mins walk down the road.
Quite far from the centre of the city however it is extremely easy to get to. During the day, there is a close proximity to the underground around 10 min walk, and there is a bus that I took from the city centre to right outside the hostel door where the bus stop was. If you are going through the night/early morning, it is extremely easy to catch a taxi through apps and it is quite cheap (around 40- 70 yen) and the road is very well lit. I felt completely safe in the area.
Service
Chu, the hostel aunty is warm and helpful, and gives you a sense of being home away from home. This included being made some home made dumplings to celebrate Golden Week which tasted delicious! She gave recommendations on places to go and made sure that I kept safe when out. As another review said, it can be a bit difficult communicating if you don't know Chinese as no English at the hostel or around the area is spoken and it can get quite draining/ mentally challenging at times for us, however Chu still tried her best to communicate regardless and I really appreciated the effort. To get around this and to make your stay more enjoyable, I would be sure to have WeChat set up prior so you can use the chat translator and have your google translate app out ready. (N.B Make sure you are able to set up the account and get the WeChat validation/security text through your HOME sim/data roaming as opposed to attempting to set up your account on your E-sim which won't work).
Facilities
It is a hostel that provides what you need. The things that took my British head some time to get around was the shower situation and the bed; namely the shower as it was more typical of an advanced bidet than standard shower. However, it was kept exceptionally clean after my first day there and I did my part of keeping it clean by bleaching it down. The bed is quite sturdy, typical of Chinese beds, so I would recommend bringing a blanket or similar to lay on the mattress so you can get to sleep. There is an upstairs area where you can use the washing machine or wash your clothes by hand and an open area to hang dry your clothes. Make sure you have some cash ready to give to Chu to use the machine. There is a vending machine that you can buy snacks for using the your WeChat pay. There is a seating area at the top where you can sit down and eat, smoke and chat. Once you are used to the different products used (i.e remembering the slippers, using the shower etc.), it becomes second nature and a very comfortable stay (funny story: I was sitting on a desk chair outside my room and being use to the chairs in the UK being quite heavy, I swung myself around and ended up falling off the chair LOL!).
Cleanliness
Like I mentioned above, the hostel is kept exceptionally clean and I had no concerns around hygiene once I got used to the shower situation. The cleanliness is what I can say was a huge benefit to the hostel. Considering how large the place is and Chu is the sole host, it is kept evidently very clean and Chu will be sure to tell you to tidy up too lool. People in China are not a fan of strong smells/ fragranced things so you will not smell bleach or such products but after seeing a storage room, I can assure they are being used!
The photos in the other reviews capture it exactly so you will not be surprised when coming to the place.

MM2crmc3cs****Tianfu Airport pickup service: Tianfu is really far away, but as soon as I got off the plane, I received a call from the driver. The service was warm and thoughtful, and I really appreciate it.
In-room minibar: The hotel provides complimentary soft drinks and beer, so you can relax and unwind even without leaving the hotel. There are also snacks and capsule coffee provided, which is very thoughtful.
Overall, my stay was fantastic and very comfortable. The hotel's decor is stylish, and both the lobby and the room are elegant. It's very close to the scenic area, and the accommodation is nestled within Kuanzhai Alley, so you can step right out and explore. The exterior also blends in with the Kuanzhai Alley style, with a traditional Chinese feel that's ancient and charming, full of character. The room was clean and tidy. My room's interior, based on a modern Chinese style, also incorporated some purple tones, giving it a very mature and stable feel. Front desk staff Rora, Zoe, and Nancy provided warm and thoughtful service. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThis is not a holiday inn/holiday inn express, (the chain) even though that’s the name. Other than that it’s a fine hotel. They offered free airport pickup service, and were very friendly in helping us.
The hotel is in a very remote location, 20 minutes away from the airport. It’s in a beautiful setting in the countryside, and we could hear birds and chickens outside the window. The lobby is a bit sp****, and the bathroom is small, but it worked for us after getting in late at night.
