"This is a brand new hotel which just open less than 7months ago. Fairly low traffic - less customers during my stay with my family. Hotel room is small but enough for 2 people. Not good for longer stay. Breakfast is good spread with continental food and variety of bread and stuff. Is just opposite IKEA and EuroPark which is good to shop and eat if you don’t travel to town. Is about 15min drive to town area. The parking is underground shared with other building offices and there is a €25 per night charge which I thought should be complimentary given Marriot chain of hotel reputation and the higher price to pay for."
"The front desk isn't staffed 24/7, so if you're leaving very early in the morning, you might have trouble storing your luggage. The rooms are split between two buildings; one doesn't have an elevator, and the other does. The room decor was a bit odd; I didn't quite understand why there was a faceless blonde pop art print on the curtains, which made me a bit uneasy sleeping at night."
"The location was fantastic! It's just a 15-minute bus ride from the city center, and public transport is super convenient. Right next to the hotel, there's a restaurant, a supermarket, and even a gym. The hotel room itself was very clean and tidy, and the staff were incredibly friendly. There seems to be a police station downstairs, with officers frequently changing shifts, which made me feel very safe."
"We had a very enjoyable stay at Arte Hotel Salzburg. The location is excellent—right next to the main train station, making it perfect if you’re arriving by train or planning day trips. The Old Town is a pleasant walk away, so it’s still easy to explore the city.
The real hidden gem is the Sky Bar. It offers breathtaking panoramic views over Salzburg, especially at sunset and in the evening. The cocktails were great, and breakfast is also served there, making it a fantastic way to start the day. I’d definitely recommend requesting a room on one of the higher floors to make the most of the views.
The only downside was the communication regarding the complimentary Salzburg public transport pass. We were told at check-in that the hotel would provide it, but despite asking three more times during our stay, we never received it. It was disappointing as we had planned to use it for getting around the city. I hope the hotel can improve this process for future guests.
Overall, it’s a modern, well-located hotel with spectacular views, and I’d happily stay here again."
"The hotel is convenient to sightseeing points and restaurant as well as shopping mall Forum 1. In addition, the room spacious is more comfortable and good environment. It has a good view to city centre at high floor level. The receptionist had forgotten to give us the Salzburg mobility tickets. It was too little to provide coffee and tea bags as we stayed for two days. It was not clearly stated free of charge or not for snack and biscuit in the room."
"The hotel allowed early check-in which is really impressive. I googled that this hotel was founded in 2024. This explained why the facilities and decoration were good.
What I requested during my booking online were all fulfilled. A big thank you to Harry’s Home!
The room is spacious and comfy. Having the toilet and bathroom separated is a very good idea. There are a lot of storage space.
Hotel location is very good too. Just five minutes of walk then you will reach the train station and bus terminus. Three minutes walk then you will be in a more with shops and supermarket.
The hotel staff members are all very nice and helpful."
"I used 3 nights for family trip. Trip.com recommended accommodation, I was worried about not a hotel, but it was good.
It was nice to be able to buy kebab from a kebab shop near a sandwich at the mart and eat it comfortably, so it was nice to be able to eat food that was simply heated. The accommodation was clean and the location was perfect for transportation. However, it was a bit unfortunate that the road was under construction while I was there, and the alarm sound was loud on the day I ate without heating the food, so it was uncomfortable, but the staff came and told me how to deal with it, so I was uncomfortable for a while."
"June Six is a nice hotel just by the salzburg station, convenient to visit most of the locations in salzburg. Note that with the guest mobility ticket (ask when you reached the hotel) you can save needing to pay for public transport around salzburg region (including the bus 150 to bad ischl for the trip to hallstatt)"
"Convenient location, just beside a petrol station that has a convenient store. Bus stop just beside as well. Cons: rude bartender and dirty towel (only realized there was some brown stains after using it during the night. Lazy to complain and ask for replacement since we are only staying for a night, so subsequently I used the hand towel instead.)"
"At that time, there was only one person at the front desk of the hotel and needed to wait. The hotel's parking space is in the same building. This is more convenient to go out to the city center. However, the breakfast at this hotel is booked, regardless of the taste and excellent food."

Very Good
HHoytheHotel location was very good, walkable distance from Salzburg train station. Surrounding has a lot of food options. Hotel room was big and clean, very comfortable stay. Love the staff and they were very friendly and helpful for advices to get around Salzburg. Hotel provided a guest mobility pass and allowed for public transport travel within Salzburg for free. Hotel was environmentally friendly, offered a 5€ voucher if we skipped housekeeping for a day.
GGuest UserThe place is a stone throw away from the central station and very accessible. Also have free transportation for the number of days u stay with them - ask the staff.
There are free apples and sparkling water you can retrieve from the lobby. It was a really comfortable stay. It was quiet and peaceful. They had a very secure luggage storage that was great. Loved the wall design that allowed me to hang my clothes and dry them as well.
GGuest UserI booked for three nights and when I checked in, the hotel staff initially couldn't find our reservation. After some confirmation, we were able to check in smoothly.
We were given a room on the second floor, but once inside, we found the mini-fridge was broken. So, I went downstairs and asked the front desk to switch our room. The new room was further inside. The fridge worked, but the air conditioning wasn't very cold. Luckily, it wasn't too hot at night, so it was fine.
I'd read reviews mentioning some guests had items stolen, so we didn't leave any valuables in the room and kept our suitcases locked.
However, when the towels were replaced daily, I'm not sure if it's because we didn't leave the floor mats on the ground or what, but they were always taken away and not replaced (it's also possible the hotel doesn't provide them). The plastic bottles I intended to return were also taken (but that's quite normal, so it's fine).
The area around the hotel does feel a bit desolate, possibly because it's behind a department store and next to a construction site. We could hear hammering from the construction site in the mornings. It's quite close to the train station and bus stops, but for the price we paid, I think it was significantly overpriced.
The hotel staff offered us free luggage storage (they mentioned guests normally have to use lockers). In the afternoons, there's iced water and small cookies available on the first floor.
GGuest UserThe breakfast is good, the location is also very good, close to the train station. The front desk and breakfast are opposite the room. There is also a parking lot. There is no car. I don't know how the parking lot is charged.
GGuest UserI emailed the hotel in advance to ask if they could help me apply for the Salzburg Guest Mobility Ticket, and they replied very promptly. This meant I could take the tram from the train station directly to the hotel, which was not only convenient but also saved me a lot of effort, even though it probably wasn't a long walk anyway. Tram lines 2, 12, and 21 are nearby, making it super easy to get around by tram. The station had a timetable, and the trams were always on time.
The room didn't have a coffee maker, but there was a mini kettle.
The bed was made of two twin mattresses pushed together, so even if you're alone, you can only really sleep on one side due to the gap in the middle. The duvets were also twin-sized, just over a meter wide, so someone larger might find them a bit small.
GGuest UserThis is an older, family-run hotel that's been renovated many times. The bathroom has a small speaker that plays music, and overall it's clean. The owner and staff are also very nice.
SSKMCarmenDidn’t really have a good experience on this but thank god Trip did compensate a small fee. The room is good, the hotel is good BUT whoever that has booked please read this:-
1. Make sure they send you a pin code to enter the hotel at least 3 days before or else keep emailing and calling before you reach. There is no workers all automated if you reach and have no code to enter you are stranded! Yes there is a phone to call but Im not sure why the phone doesn’t work properly!! I called 7 times only to 1 time they pick up. And finally after waiting in the cold for 30 mins they let me know the pin code to enter. Its very hard to contact the hotel maybe because im not using local phone number. Contacted trip and they themselves couldn’t contact them in time. According to the hotel, there should be an email from them with instructions and code.
2. Yes, I do love the concept of having no one to check in but at least leave like an ipad or a screen for guest to check and contact???
3. Rooms were nice, blinds were automatic. Clean and have smart tv. They do have elevators thank god.
Besides the ‘PIN number’ enter check in, its all good.
GGuest UserThe hostel was clean, and the toilets were also spotless. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Location-wise, there is a u bahn station nearby, which is very convenient. Even if you choose not to take the train, most attractions are within walking distance from the hostel.
TTAVUROVA SHUKUFAWe had a good stay at Holiday Inn Salzburg City. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. It’s close to the city center, and many attractions can be reached on foot, which made exploring Salzburg very convenient.
The room was clean and had everything we needed. However, one small issue was that the electric kettle in our room wasn’t working. We tried to contact the front desk after 10:00 PM, but there was no one available to assist us at that time, so we couldn’t get it replaced.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent. It's within walking distance, but also easily accessible by public transport during extreme temperatures. The hotel offers spacious rooms and a comprehensive breakfast.
