Great Couples Getaway
We enjoyed spending the weekend at this lovely historic home on the Rappahannock River. The views of river and the interior of the house is absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed a weekend with friends relaxing and enjoying the water. It was a blessing to stay here for the weekend.

Great Place to get away and relax
We stay often at VRBO homes over many years with family. This is at the top of the list for a number of reasons. .All of the family agreed. And wants to come back again next year. To give folks wondering if this is the right place for thier stay. We had a variety of people with us including a couple of teachers (new and retired), a couple of business owners, and a landscaper staying with us. We all enjoyed the options of space in the house, the big yard (lot of croquet played and reading under the big shade trees, the swimming and the dock for fishing. So many options at one place. And within 30 minutes we could be in quaint towns for shopping, meals and sightseeing.
The house is better than the pictures which looked awesome. It was impressive what the owners have done with this historic house.
Again, when the group which included 29 to 72 was asked if they wanted to come back to this house next year for our family vacation, it was a resounding YES!
Thank you to the owners for being so responsive as we planned the getaway and during our stay!!

Perfect Ladies weekend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is thoughtfully decorated and very cozy. The house has so much character! The view of the water and the sunset was majestic!! We enjoyed the fire pit and the screened in porch. We had fun shopping in Kilmarnock and enjoyed lunch at Bay Bistro. We would love to go back in the summer time and go out on the River. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
