Unwind at the foot of Mt. Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado, in this modern log home. A perfect place to set up your remote office (with high-speed Wi-Fi), or unplug and connect with friends and outdoor activities. This large cabin is built with sweeping views and has a wrap-around deck, a great room, and a large, fully-equipped kitchen.
Located above the town of Twin Lakes with mountain and lake views, on secluded sunny acreage. Close to hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing trails, with fishing, boating, paddle boarding, and kayaking on the lake. Within short driving distance to ski areas (Ski Cooper, Copper Mountain, Monarch), rafting in Buena Vista, Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, and many horseback riding outfitters. A 40-minute drive to Aspen in the Summer months where you can explore galleries and restaurants.
Take an unforgettable hike around the lake to discover Interlaken, one of the most popular resorts in the 1890s. Interlaken's Dexter cabin is open to the public and offers the chance to explore life at the turn of the century.
This spacious and modern log home is a wonderful oasis for families, book clubs, athletes, trainers, or small groups. The first floor has a large, open great room with a large table, well suited for entertaining with a fully equipped kitchen and adjacent laundry room. The Mountain View Room has a king bed with high ceilings and sweeping mountain and lake views. The Yellow Room includes a king-size bed and bunk beds with high ceilings and views of Mt Elbert. The Blue Room includes a queen bed and a double bed, and a secret “kids only” playroom that is fully equipped with a kids kitchen and table. The third floor has a library-style ladder that heads up to a cupola with a 360-degree panoramic view of the collegiate range, great for reading, wildlife viewing, office space, or a panoramic star gazing, sleeping loft for older kids (small fold-down couch single).

Our guests agree this cabin is ideal for groups with multiple interests! Enjoy easy access to family hiking and mountain-biking trails and serious hikers are close to La Plata Peak and Mt. Elbert trailheads. The cabin is located at the midway point of the famous Leadville 100 Ultra Run and you are ¼ mile from the famous Colorado Trail. A rainy weekend but perfect for our crew to hangout, play board games, and pamper the grandkids! The cabin is a wonderful, quiet escape with plenty of warmth and character.

We loved this beautiful cabin! It had plenty of space and was well stocked with all the little things you don’t think about until you need them: salt, pepper, all the cooking utensils, etc. The front porch is a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee with a view each morning. It’s a short walk into Twin Lakes but still feels like you’re far away from civilization. Our kids enjoyed the views from the birds nest - such a cool feature! We definitely hope to come back in the future.

Perfect mountain home with epic views!
We loved our stay here! Everything was as described or better and the hosts were extremely helpful. 4 nights went by way too quick but we’d definitely return again. The little community of Twin Lakes was the exact, non-ski resort pace we were seeking. This was the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I’ve rented and there’s an awesome puzzle selection. Perfectly located to access great hikes from Independence Pass, rafting in Buena Vista, walk to the the lakes or just roam around the property.
