I booked this Americas Best Value Inn & Suites @ Lake Charles I210-Exit-5. There was NOTHING that was comparing to a suite. In fact, it is more like a motel class. There were several factors that made us NOT HAPPY staying here, and will probably will not stay here in future. I am explaining why I rated this hotel/motel below its class: (a) first the hotel is on "cheap" side. The towels provided were very limited, and there was no towel for the floor. The lighting in the room, as well as thru-out the property was annoying. Everywhere I see bright florescent day-time white light, so bright. The room has this same light from ceiling down. It was so bright, no adjustment. It's hard for a person to sleep, while the other person is awake and needs light. The room is a lacking several fundamental items for a hotel, no coffee machine. The shampoo/soap provided were some sample 1-person ones. The "breakfast" area was a joke. The only thing proved was coffee, that were not good at all. Yet, trip.com's reservation had me selected either room with or without breakfast. So, I booked with breakfast. But there was nothing provided. I asked the receptionist, he said, they don't have breakfast, just coffee.
The plus side was that, they provided a good size refrigerator. And they have the microwave in the 'breakfast" area.
Although it seemed a recently built hotel, but it's just a basic motel, lacking basic necessity items in hotel room. Overall, I would not stay here again.

It was very plain Jane. The TV didn't work and the electric outlets didn't work. Didn't waste time complaining because it was so cheap. I didn't see any crime in area it served its purpose as a place to crash for the night. BUT THAT IS it !

we got banned cause we checked out a few minute late trying to get our kids ready. we stayed here for 2-3 weeks. undercover police activity going on here & desk people are rude af.

The front desk staff was helpful. The breakfast start hour was provided but, the ending time was unknown. Also, there was no bedside lamp of any kind. The mini fridge and in-room microwave was a welcome convenience.

I booked online and an emergency came up where I could not make the trip. ********** reached out to the hotel that I had a reservation and they couldn't even give me a room credit.

The prompt is "what did you like about the property?" If I were to be truthful and list everything , you'd be reading a novel. Cheapest hotel within 5 mins of the ******. Price is cheap, quality isn't. SmartTV, marble stand up shower , perfect bathroom lighting , COLDEST AC! Beds are so comfortable , no bed bugs, stains or burn holes on sheets ,etc. No smoking!!! Perfect. Charger outlets for fast charger and regular usb where Yu don't need a charger cube. Great closet space. Very spacious, comfortable, makes me feel like I'm home. hallways , staircase , lobby , parking lot - all SQUEAKY CLEAN! also, washer and dryer, 2 vending machines; 1 for snacks & 1 for drinks. In room u have Mini fridge with freezer , microwave , storage space for your items. Ice machine downstairs. The HOSPITALITY ?!!!! A billion/10. 100 stars! Morning front desk manager, so nice and respectful , has no issue accommodating your needs. Very welcoming and positive attitude no matter what day it is. afternoon & night staff ? Just the same. so respectful and genuine. You don't have to worry about anything happening to your belongings or your car, area is very safe and they have 24/7 all around cameras. Parking lot is ALWAYS clean , never see trash. Nobody lingering around outside to make you uncomfortable, NOTHING!! and to think it's all for 80/100$ a night ? It's beyond what you could ask for. I do not even leave reviews but I just had to!! Thank you , I'll definitely be returning !
