Tru by Hilton Lake Charles

Husband and I stayed one night and had a very comfortable stay. The lobby is very welcoming with a '70s vibe, colorful furniture, hanging basket chairs ( relaxing! I had to try it), and friendly staff. Bed allowed ready sleep and we loved the soft linens. Good lighting. Great view of Prien Lake. Convenient to get to. Good breakfast with full flavored coffee and excellent tea selection. Highly recommend.

Overall damn good place to stay. Food is great. Bed is comfortable and you’re surrounded by everything you need to get to from Walmart to target. I recommend anybody going to the golden nugget stay at the true by Hilton Hotel. The staff is amazing I’m just blown away.

The staff was nice, the room was very clean, beds were very comfortable. The room was tiny! The hotel is in an area with about a dozen similar hotels and the room felt like it could be in New York City. For two adults and two small children, we were tripping over each other and we frequently stay in hotels where we’ve never had this problem. Breakfast was adequate. Biggest complaint was that the EV charging required a third party app and was not complimentary. This is completely non-standard for my extensive experience travel experience with an electric car. There also was no microwave or coffee maker of any kind in the room (which I could have noticed in booking, but this is the first time I’ve encountered a room that has a fridge but no microwave). Would not choose to stay here again, probably won’t stay at any other Tru properties.

We had a wonderful stay at Tru by Hilton. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, big TV set, I loved the wood floors, and the best part was they were pet friendly. I recently found two stray puppies and I was afraid I would have to cancel my trip, but I called and for just $75 I could bring my puppies.

My recent stay in Lake Charles was awesome! The staff at the hotel were very professional and accommodating. The room was super clean and very comfortable. Lake Charles is a great place to visit and this hotel is the perfect place to stay while you explore the city.

Well. Hilton is a horrible hotel chain.. we checked in here to go to the ****** hoping for a nice pleasant experience. ( I had already had a disgusting experience in Dallas two weeks previously and which Hilton never took care of my problem and I am a Hilton honors member ) Instead, we had to call the police. The best part of our stay were the people at the front desk. They were so embarrassed over everything that was happening. . The room was dirty. The towels were stained the people next-door were having a party loud music the TV was on. . For HOURS. To top it all off we were on the bottom floor and a vehicle backed up to our window, where a really drunk couple proceeded to open up the back of the SUV. Turn on the music and retrieve booze. The man was so drunk he about fell down 2 to 3 times.. After about one hour, I called the police and met them outside . Nothing was done. We were up most of the night dealing with this . We told Hilton and they never ever did anything empty promises we will comp a room we will give you your money back nothing . Do NOT stay here . I would never recommend this hotel to anyone .

No hot water and the bed was uncomfortable

This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. From the get go a woman walked into my room While I was getting dressed for a work event I had. She had no idea The room was occupied. Said i scared her. Yeah. You scared me. Then my tv never worked. Front desk couldn’t figure it out. Guy in room next to me had his tv on all night, and i could hear it through the wall. So didn’t sleep a wink. AWFUL. Oh and there was food left in trashcan from previous guest. Won’t ever stay here again.
