Do not be fooled by the low ratings from years ago. Obviously there is a new ownership. Well maintained, clean, freshly painted rooms. Has all amenities (including fridge, microwave, hair drier, iron, ironing table, clean new towels, renovated bathrooms, usb chargers at the wall, good tv channels etc.). Very friendly staff. Location is generally good, but is between 2 freeways, so if someone is very light sleeper it may be a problem. However, the windows are apparently insulated so the noise was minimal and did not bother us. The only minor thing was that the flooring is a bit worn, but are very clean and this is what matters. Good value for everything you need. Strongly recommended.

Fortuanately I found this hotel online and was very pleased with my choice. The place is immacuately clean, neat, is located on a main drag in San Juan Capistrano, easy to find. The manager is the kindest, most helpful person you will ever meet. He graciously accomadated every request I had. I highly recommend this hotel, maybe not the fanciest, but everything else about it is first class. Prices are very resonable, I paid approx $120 / night for a room with 2 queen size beds, fridge, coffee maker, great heat and AC, spotlessly clean everywhere, inside and out. Great water pressure in the shower.
In-N-Out right next to the property.
The hotel is located between a freeway and the train tracks. Bring sleep meds or earplugs.

Served it's purpose. Fine for a one night stay. Rather bare bones but satisfactory. No coffee maker which was disappointing.

Easy check in, friendly staff, elevator, ice and vending machine. Nothing fancy but perfect for a place to sleep and shower. AC worked, had little refrigerator. Front desk answered the phone and answered questions prior to arrival. Next to two food places you can walk to. Easy parking. Spacious compared to comparable hotels. Is next to train tracks, did not hear any noise.

After a harrowing day of air travel, it was refreshing to be greeted by such a cheerful, helpful attendant who could not have been more gracious. My room had everything I needed except scissors and tape to wrap a wedding gift and he took care of that too! I would stay at the Laguna Inn again. Jim
