We were a party of 4 and had only 2 nights at Red Stone Hills, staying in Bushman Cottage. The accommodation was perfect with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We chose the barbecue option and I cannot recommend this highly enough. Petro and her staff were so helpful, we wished we could stay longer. Definitely a place to revisit.

We attended the Vetplantfees in Calitzdorp. Chose a central venue so as to also attend the Outdtshoorn parkrun. Redstone Hills is a wonderful place and accommodation was just what we needed. quiet and peaceful. The breakfast and dinner was awesome. A must visit destination. We will be back. However, very sad to see signs of vetplant thieves and poachers in the area - authorities need to help the owners of Red Stone to stop this activity.

A lovely and wonderful area to visit with the most stunning geology of the area. It is certainly a very unique area with a lovely ambiance. The gravel road an easy drive and directions and access very good. Petro and her staff are amazing and very accommodating as well. The stuffed ostrich fillet and extras were wonderful together with the fire set for one. The only downside is the relatively 'busy' road which does create a bit of noise particularly daybreak and evening. I wish I could have spent another night just to be able to 'explore' around the red stone hills a bit more. I have no hesitation in recommending this place for any persons who want to get 'off' the main highways.

Excellent accommodation set between stunning red stone hills. Great value for money and the bungalow had all the modern appliances. This was our second visit to Red Stone and enjoyed every moment.

Wow, I never realised what beauty lies just beyond the R62. We have travelled this road many times, but straight through Calitzdorp and on towards Cape Town. These beautiful red stone hills are breathtaking, lots of walking opportunities and good birding. The house we stayed in was well appointed, perfect braai in the kitchen (plus an outside one), 2 bedrooms both en-suite. We ordered the dinner option and got our fire set up, lit, table set in the kitchen, food delivered etc. This was the first time we ever received this as an option, so easy, but will certainly keep a lasting impression. We will certainly be back with friends or family and stay more than 1 night.
