Like many grand dame hotels, she could use a bit of a face lift, but despite the age, she is well cared for and the service is impeccable. The rooms are small and the bathroom smaller still, but both are clean and functional. The is a quaint old style bar and the food is good. The only downside is breakfast. It was awful! The eggs were so under cooked, they were liquid…no solids! The rest of it was sub-par. What was particularly disappointing was the fruit was awful. We had just come from Vicuña and the drive is through nothing but agricultural fields complete with roadside fruit stands. I recommend the hotel, but skip the breakfast.

Very hot rooms, although they indicate that there is no air conditioning, they only have a very small fan that does not cool the room. In addition, the showers are unmaintained, the silicone on the door is peeled off and all the water leaks out. Apart from that, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is varied. Be careful that if you go out at night and arrive late it takes ages to open the gate so you expose yourself to being assaulted, that is the most complex thing. With my family we arrived at approximately one and spent 10 minutes waiting outside for them to open and it seems that it is quite unsafe around them, they should have another system because they expose you while you wait. I would not return to this hotel.

A couple of times at the hotel, before the Social Outbreak of October 2019 and pandemic. Spacious and clean rooms. What stands out: the attention of the staff and the perfect location for the purposes of our work. The restaurant food is very good. The bad, and hence the rating. Room connected to another. You can hear everything, even the snoring of someone unknown who didn't let me sleep. A disaster. The hotel should seal the doors or assign only those who require it. Never to return.

He estado en el Hotel Costa Real en 2 ó 3 ocasiones anteriormente, pero sólo en periodo estival, no recomiendo ir en invierno, porque tienen un horario corto nocturno de calefacción (dicen que la encienden a las 19:30. Antes de eso la habitación está muy ftia. Llegué de la cena a las 22 horas y me dormí de inmediato, desperté temblando de frio a las 6 AM, sin calefacción, advierto que cuando me dormí la habitación estaba apenas tibia. La ducha no tiene presión de agua normal. Pero la atención del personal es correcta y atenta, no creo que me puede referir en los mismos términos a la administración que ahorra en calefacción durante época de extremo frio. La habitación se encontraba con sábanas limpias y buenas almohadas. No creo que vuelva a este hotel en La Serena, Chile, no se condice el precio con la calidad y lo lamento porque es un lindo hotel pero con mal servicio. La próxima vez que vuelva a La Setena en época de frío, preguntaré al próximo hotel si cuentan con calefacción No creo que vuelva. Hay mucha oferta hotelera en La Serena y nos equivocamos pensando que pagando más caro, obtendríamos mejor servicio.

Excelente atención, habitaciones confortables, toallas las cambian diariamente, Excelente desayuno y la comida del Restaurante excepcional. El personal muy amable, buena disposición. Las instalaciones muy cómodas, hay café de cortesía para los huéspedes.

Para empezar , llegamos a las 15 y no pudimos ingresar a la habitación , la recepcionista quedó de avisarnos , lo que no hizo , tuve que preguntar después de 20 minutos . No fue una buena recepción. El personal desconocía información que parecía básica : como llego a la pampilla , hay lugares abiertos , donde pasan colectivos a Coquimbo , por poner unos ejemplos . Tampoco entregaban información sobre el horario del desayuno . La habitación matrimonial era mediana , el baño no tenía ventilación ni extractor . Cancelaron mi vuelo de regreso y tuve que quedarme otra noche más en La Serena , y no volví a este hotel
