The hotel is located in the centre of Rochelle, from where you have plenty of possibilites for sight-seeing and other activities. Hotel is in one of the beautiful old buildings and decorated with taste and exudes atmosphere and the rooms are luxery, beautiful and clean. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. Very quiet and peaceful environment.

Been to La Rochelle before and stayed a good 20 mins walk outside the centre so when we found this gem of a hotel so close to the old port we were delighted. With a beautiful facade on a quiet street yet rooms facing the sea and port too it was perfect for us. Room was lovely on top floor with small yet perfect window overlooking port and sea. All areas were spotless. The staff were delightful and so helpful in both booking process, parking and just attending to all our needs - it felt very personal. Worth every penny for location, level of service and style with bonus of car parking on site. We will go back and also recommend.

Friendly staff, especially the welcome from Amadine on reception. She helped us park the car long before our check in time and gave great advice on where to get a good lunch. The room itself was lovely, with a very comfortable bed. We also had a couples massage which was delightful. The location couldn’t be better, a very short walk to the old harbour, the ancient town walls and plentiful, very good, restaurants and bars,

The staff were excellent, very polite, very helpful. Breakfast was incredible. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. Some downsides, black mould in the shower cubicle and the fire escape route from the dining room was obstructed (retired fire safety advisor!) If it's lit and identified as an escape, keep it clear!

We stayed five nights in this small but lovely hotel. The staff is very welcoming and their everlasting willingness to serve costumers make the stay very enjoyable. The breakfast is very good whereas fresh and local is proposed every days. The SPA is very well kept with a nice jacuzzi that can privatized against a small amount of money. Our suite was very well soundproof - including a nice rooftop terrace and two bathrooms - and fitting perfectly to families. In short, we highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely go back when we return to La Rochelle.

very helpful & friendly staff…..great location closed to the harbour and the highlights of La Rochelle….good size of the room …very quiet environment during the nights ….parking as promised & expected…some driver skills needed for accessing the parking garage…very good breakfast with a good variety of food & drinks….

We loved our stay in this unique and beautiful boutique hotel in the center of La Rochelle. It is walking distance to the charming town and marina. We were upgraded upon arrival to the top floor with a rooftop balcony with excellent views. Our suite had two separate room (two bed) and ample sitting room as well as a separate bath tub and shower room. The breakfast buffet was gorgeous and generous! La Rochelle is such a beautiful place; we will definitely be back and plan to stay again at the Hotel de la Monnaie.
