THE ROYAL PARK Hotels in Kyoto

The location is absolutely superb. Last year, I stayed near Kyoto Station, which felt like being in the suburbs. While it was quiet, finding places to eat or shop was incredibly inconvenient. This hotel, however, is right in Kyoto's bustling downtown area. There's a shopping street right downstairs, offering a one-stop solution for all your dining and shopping needs. It's just a few steps away from the Kamo River, the subway station, and bus stops, making it incredibly convenient. Regarding the hotel's facilities, the room was very spacious. Even with three people, we could easily open up two large suitcases. Since it faces the street, and there are rumors of noisy street racers in Kyoto, I was a bit worried about noise, but thankfully, the soundproofing was excellent. The hotel's decor features a dark color scheme, and the entrance is very understated; if you're not paying close attention, you might easily mistake it for a dark wall. The lobby isn't as grand and spacious as those in five-star hotels, but it's very cozy and welcoming. The service at Japanese hotels is always impeccable. While there weren't any Chinese-speaking staff members, simple English communication was perfectly fine. It was pouring rain the day we arrived in Kyoto, and the hotel even offered complimentary umbrellas to borrow, which was a very thoughtful touch.
