We took a taxi to this location because it was a little too far by bus, and we had all of our luggage with us. The location is beautiful. If you're only staying for one night like we did, then you should check in at the earliest (3:00 pm) so you can explore the local area. There are some really nice shrines nearby. We were only able to do this after breakfast the next morning. We also had to be out by 10:00 am, which surprised us because it was listed as 11:00 am on Trip.com. You will be served traditional Japanese cuisine for dinner and breakfast. They do an excellent job of presenting all of the dishes, and the service is also incredible. But if you're not used to eating raw fish, or traditional Japanese cuisine in general, you should definitely bring your own snacks to eat in your room! We stayed in the Garden view room with tatami mats. The staff will actually rearrange the room for you during dinner and set up your beds if you select this room. That was a very nice touch, so make sure you don't leave your room a total mess before dinner! I have added a picture of the beds after they were set up. The garden view was well worth the money we spent for it. Very relaxing and beautiful. And surprisingly enough...the tatami beds were super comfortable and warm!

The hotel is next to Sanzen-in Temple, and is a Japanese inn style. It was a bit cold to stay at night in December. The area is not large. I wanted to see the red leaves of Sanzen-in Temple, but they were almost fallen when I arrived on the 5th. If you want to experience it, just stay for one night. Overall, it is not as convenient and comfortable as a star hotel. Breakfast and dinner are not bad, but not amazing. Take it as a Japanese cultural experience.

The environment is very good and the staff is very attentive. Dinner and breakfast are also very rich. I can't eat seafood, so the staff specially prepared beef. The only drawback is that it is too remote and the transportation is inconvenient.

Very good experience, sitting on the ground is a bit difficult to get up. The photo effect is good, very close to Sanqianyuan, you can go there when you check out.

The rooms are clean and sanitary, the facilities are advanced, the environment is beautiful, the courtyard is beautiful, and the service is thoughtful. The food is very delicious, which can be described as amazing. It is worth the money. I will come to experience it in different seasons in the future.

The sound insulation effect of Japanese hotels Generally speaking, they are very good. Sotetsu's apartments of more than 300 yuan are very quiet. I didn't expect that the sound insulation of Ohara, which is 300 to 4000 yuan, is so poor! You can hear the conversation clearly next door, almost a wooden board away, so if you are unlucky and encounter a neighbor with inconsistent schedules, it will be miserable. We were woken up by the Korean guests next door before six o'clock in the morning, even if They didn't make a particularly loud noise, but the sound insulation was really bad, but you could still hear it clearly, which is really not worth the price. Third, except for a few suites, other rooms do not have separate shower rooms. There is a public hot spring bathing area, which can accommodate up to 4 people. You can only wash your hair while sitting on a small stool in the bathroom. If you are very concerned about bathing with others, please think again. Finally: the hotel’s breakfast and dinner are really good, especially the Japanese hot pot in the evening.

I decided to stay in Ohara for one night because I went to Sanzenin Temple to see hydrangeas. The hotel is almost in front of Sanzenin Temple. It is the best nearby. It is very clean, with beautiful gardens and warm service. It can pick up guests to the Ohara bus station . The fly in the ointment is: the time for dinner is too long, it takes more than 2 and a half hours before and after; the public bathroom is quite small. In fact, there are very few people in the public bathroom. It would be nice if there is a private soup. And the most important point is that the hydrangeas in Sanzenin Temple are not as good as advertised
