The hotel was very well kept and comfortable. The location is excellent as you can walk to several touristic spots and you are very close to a convenience store equipped with an ATM.

WORST STAFF ATTITUDE EVER!! A middle-aged male receptionist wearing glasses just threw a face on us soon as we checked in, probably because we are Chinese. When he asked us to settle the room taxation fee, he dropped the calculator on the table and asked us to pay. It felt like we owed him money…After I paid, he just grabbed the money tray and left without saying thanks. This is the first time i have met such a rude Japanese… Never been treated like this in Japan, this service and attitude is totally unacceptable. Staff just slacking in the staff room in the lobby without being helpful. If you want a disrespectful experience, feel free to come to this hotel.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It was beautiful, clean, and the staff were accommodating.

A little bit noisy at night since there are some bars and clubs nearby. The room itself was clean and neat.

This hotel’s location is good. Not very close to the metro, perhaps 10-15 walking with suitcases. But if looking for the main attractions and places for eating it’s good. Although the room was small, everything was pretty clean and nice.

One of my favourite hotels during my trip! We paid SGD120 per night in December 2023 and it was great value considering the location. I didn’t realise it when we booked, but this hotel is a 10 min walk to Yasaka Shrine, which was great because we had a Kimono rental and did not have time to travel to the other shrines in Kyoto. There is also a convenience store located beside Yasaka shrine, which is great for your late night snack run. I loved the private environment of the hotel, and how the sunlight shines through the shoji windows in the morning. The hotel feels really cozy and the bed is extra comfortable and feels like a premium hotel bed. Do take note that to get to this hotel, you will need to get on a bus from Kyoto station and it is about a 15-20 mins walk from the bus stop - for your consideration if you are bringing elderly and children or heavy luggage. Although considering this, this hotel is still highly recommended by me ^^

Hotel room is small but well-equipped for a casual traveller. Heater works well in keeping the room warm from the cold weather. Hotel seemed to be lacking in manpower as reception counter was not constantly manned by at least a staff during my stay. It was also hard for me to contact the hotel (either by call or by email) for support when I have further enquiries to make regarding an item which I might have left behind in my hotel room. Would recommend the hotel for its clean rooms and well-maintained amenities but would not recommend the hotel for its service.

The hotel was spacious and well kept, they had plenty of amenities as well as a washing machine, smoking area. More than you need for a home base! Check in was strange lobby was on 2nd floor, however staff were friendly. Great washing machine however did not dry your clothes

The toilet and shower was separated, and its one of the tinier accommodations we stayed at in Japan. Staff was professional and helpful. close to many different bus stop which is great!

Really cool places to stay. Close to Gion street and Nishiki Market.

Although the view outside was not great, the hotel was very clean and well-lit. There was a convenience store nearby, which was convenient, and there was ice on the lobby floor. This hotel seemed popular with foreigners. The bath was spacious, and I also liked that it was separate from the restroom.
