Very polite, courteous and sincere services provided by the staffs. Located conveniently. Only public onsen available, wished that there could be private onsen option as well.
Unique experience of having kaiseki meals in room and sleeping on tatami with futon.

I was thinking about staying at a ryokan while traveling alone, but I don't regret staying here! The location is great and the staff is so, so, so kind!! I was able to leave my luggage after checking out, and they even called a taxi for me, so I was able to get to the station comfortably! I also liked the bathroom, and the air conditioning was really good! I would definitely go again!

The large public bath was small but satisfactory.
The location was great too!
It's a 5-minute walk to Nishiki Market.
It was easy to find the way because you just had to go straight up to Daimaru Department Store :)
Breakfast is simple and clean! It was good value for money :)

A very beautiful Japanese hotel with good value for money. When you check in, you will help deliver your luggage to the room, and you will also be introduced to the room facilities and usage in great detail, and you will also be provided with a yukata! What a surprise!

Really bad, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Before check-out time, someone knocked on my door and asked me to check out. When I left, I was asked to pay without saying anything in advance. It's difficult to communicate with the front desk. It's not the same as the pictures on the interface. Don't go there. Too bad, very bad experience

We were advised to stay here by a Kyoto native and it didn't disappoint. It is located in the quiet heart of Kyoto in a quaint area and within walking distance of the subway and the Kuromon market. What is lovely about the hotel is the large room with the tatami floors and beautiful bathrooms as well as the bathe. It is very tastefully and simply decorated. The staff are extremely polite and beautiful and helpful. Now, onto the food..... the beautiful host, Tomoko is fastidious and the food presentation is just outstanding and very filling. Great place to stay and books out rapidly as it is very popular with Japanese travellers.

super cute Ryokan, great location close to many cool stores, unfortunately I went there on a Sunday and could not use the onsen which I looked forward to, but the yukata and the futon were super comfortable, the Japanese style room looked great and was very clean and the staff was absolutely lovely!!! And the food was super delicious (breakfast) :)

I love everything about this ryokan. The location that easily reach and really close to station. The room, the breakfast and the helpful staffs! The first day i arrived, it was raining and the staff asked me where to go. She gave me the map and informed me the direction. She was also lend me umbrella. Took couple of times as she tried the umbrella one by one before she gave it to me. When I came back, during the check in, The other staff who accompanied me to my room, also noticed that my shoes wet because of the rain. they immediately send the colleague to give used newspapers, stuck in my shoes so the next morning it could be dried. They also lend you Yukata which the pattern and color could be picked by us. The public bath also clean and tidy. Its almost felt like private bath as most of the times I went there, no people used the facility. One down side was the surrounding busy noises that could be heard from the room. For me, it was no problem. Yet, for other people, it might be disturbing. I do recommend this hotel should you want to try the traditional experience.

Ryokan close to the center of Kyoto (15/20 mins walk). The staff is very kind, welcoming and helpful. They speak English quite well except the elderly woman who served us tea on arrival and breakfast. Despite the language barrier, she was adorable and very friendly with us. This was our first experience in a roykan. The hot bath was very pleasant even if we were expecting a slightly more traditional Onsen (outdoors / seen on a garden). The breakfast was good but of course if you are used to eating sweets in the morning like me... it will be a little difficult because all the dishes are salty. But try it once during your stay in Japan. We were a little disappointed with the room. The bathroom was old and the decoration in the room should be reviewed as it was a little dated. Overall, we enjoyed the stay but would like to warn that if you are looking for a small ryokan in nature, you will have to pay on average €350 to €500 per night.
