Aluna Paje ★★★★
"The atmosphere was amazing. It was a relaxing experience. Good cleanliness overall. Very cozy rooms. Easy to find my way to the hotel. The staff was very respectful and fun. There was no noise. I got my money's worth. The staff were very helpful in whatever I needed. Check in and check out was okay."
JAZ Elite Aurora ★★★★★
"Wonderful hotel! The cleanliness, service, and food are all excellent!"
Protels La Plage ★★★★
"Location is nice and people are good but that's it. Towels smells with something bad, rooms are hot and design is bad, general vibe is very cheap. Should be done some improvements"
Paje Beach Apartments & Hotel ★★★
"Had a lovely stay here, staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you, accommodation is excellent and very clean and you are right on the beach. Ocean restaurant is attached to the hotel and does a nice breakfast for residents and is then open for lunch and dinner (very reasonably priced). There is also a lovely bar area and a couple of small supermarkets easily walkable should you need anything."
The Oasis Residence ★★★★
"A little paradise! We opted for the 3-bedroom villa with a private pool. What luxury... Impeccable service and extremely kind people. The restaurant is also very good. I recommend it if you want to spend a few days in an idyllic setting."
Dhow Inn Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"Dhow Inn is the epitome of a great hotel right on tbe beach. Cool calm colours, top service and amazing pools. Its very relaxed without that big plastic resort feel. 10 out of 10!"
Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa - Relais & Chateaux ★★★★★
"My stay at the Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Resort & Spa was incredible. The location is just perfect with direct beach access, and I really appreciated how safe it felt – there's security around so nobody bothers you, which makes such a difference. We stayed in one of the villas and honestly, it had everything. Private pool with loungers and hammocks, really good air conditioning, a kitchen with a coffee machine and free soft drinks that got restocked daily. The rooftop with seating areas was our favorite spot for evening drinks. Loved the little touches like proper books in the living room and bedroom, and the mosquito net around the bed meant we slept perfectly. Two showers too – one inside and one outside. The resort itself has a nice boutique, a larger main pool, and a spa that's worth visiting. They use their own cosmetics which smell amazing. The jacuzzi in +30 weather felt a bit weird honestly, but still nice for a quick dip. For anyone who likes to stay active, there's tennis and padel courts, plus a center where you can book kitesurfing lessons and other stuff. We did the Jozani Forest trip and Stone Town tour which the hotel arranged smoothly. But the absolute highlight was the day cruise – snorkeling, landing on a sandbank, and the freshest grilled food prepared right on the yacht. Now let's talk about food because wow. The kitchen here is next level, seriously better than many high-end hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Everything tastes amazing, from the bread and pastries (genuinely better than France) to the butter mixed with local spices, to the steaks and seafood cooked perfectly. The only small thing was the Friday local cuisine night – the food was simpler and not quite at the same standard. But honestly, the live band playing that night was so good and energetic that it totally made up for it and we had a blast anyway. If I had to mention one tiny thing, it's the butler service. We weren't really sure what they were for since the reception team handled everything via WhatsApp super quickly anyway. Not a complaint, just an observation. Overall though, this place is something special. If you want luxury, privacy, and food that will blow your mind, book it."
Breezes Beach Club and Spa ★★★★★
"Just the most fabulous hotel. Beautiful room and the most lovely swimming pool. The staff simply can not do enough for you. We had a small plumbing issue in both of the two rooms we were occupying and the issue was immediately attended too and we were all moved to upgraded connected rooms with so many apologies. They hotel also emailed our Travel Agent to alert them of the issue. The way it was so swiftly and carefully sorted out actually says a lot more about this wonderful hotel than any other glowing report. However, the rest is also glowing! The food, menu choices, location. atmosphere and staff. Everything is so gently perfect, sunbeds galore round the pool and on the beach section before the high tide rock defences. The Dive Shop also gets a mention - a wonderful snorkelling trip with breakfast provided by the hotel and freshly prepared fruit on the boat, an excellent Marine Biologist snorkelled with us to point out different fish and provide the names of them and the Star Fish Garden was amazing. All in all the most fabulous, natural looking rustic hotel but at the same time immaculate and modern. Just can't say enough about the hotel and the staff. This is a genuine review in case any one wonders if it is just too good to be true. it really is a special place. Thank you to all at The Breezes."
The Garten Living ★★★

The 5th Element Boutique Hotel
"Went here for dinner with my boyfriend. It’s the best coconut curry I’ve ever had! Also the owners and staff are super welcoming and friendly! We will come back. Please eat here if you’re in Paje ❤️"
Sahari Zanzibar
"We stayed at the Sahari Hotel for the best part of three weeks. We absolutely loved our stay, so much so, it was very sad to leave. The location is perfect, close enough to Paje to visit, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beach. The room was stunning, with a big and comfortable bed. The staff came in every day to freshen it up and make amazing animal models out of the towels. The staff were fantastic, especially the restaurant staff. We ate there nearly every night as the food was great and the staff were amazing. We would like to make a special mention of Voina and Devis who were great. They made us feel like we were at home. The Saturday night entertainment was brilliant, made even better by the amazing Swahili buffet. Thank you for teaching us to be more polepole in life. Something we will be practicing much more at home. We cannot recommend the Sahari Hotel enough, and we will be back!"
Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort Zanzibar
"Good location but road in last mile to hotel."
Karafuu Beach Resort & Spa
"We would like to thank you very much for the great stay in this generous and large resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We enjoyed very much our apartment in front of the pool. At checkout we were even offered an.extended stay as our flight was only in the evening what we highly appreciated. We highly recommend this resort."
Amani Boutique Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
"We came here for 4 nights after climbing Kilimanjaro and it was the perfect place to relax and recover. The property is super well maintained, with a private beach area and pool and our room was spacious and beautiful. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Every day they would bring fruit skewers and cool towels to guests lounging on the beach. The location is a 15-20 minute walk away from the main more noisy part of Paje which was perfect because we could walk there during the day for lunch and then return to the peace and quiet. Dinner alternated between a 4 course menu or a buffet and there were plenty of options. Food was super good too."
The Palms Zanzibar
"Beautiful location, people and an outstanding quality of accommodation, food and service. The Palms is a wonderful place. It was my husband’s birthday whilst we were there; and the staff made it very special, without me asking for anything! The food is some of the best we’ve ever had. The staff, without exception were engaging, friendly, approachable, funny and professional. The quality of leadership is visible in everything. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable holiday. We wish you all well."
Blue Reef Sport & Fishing Lodge and Bungalows
"We have visited the Blue Reef for the fourth time. We absolute love this place. Again it has been a great pleasure. The nicest hotel with the best atmosphere. Nice and clean, great food, fantastic drinks and the best staff !! I am sure we will be back for a 5th round ;-)"

The Loop Beach Resort- Adults Only
"I am so happy I decided on this hotel in Jambiani for my stay in beautiful Zanzibar! Loved every minute of it. The staff was the best, the food was great, the rooms lovely and the overall ambiance made me wanna spend all my time there! Can't wait to go back!"
Gadea Boutique Hotel& Gadea Garden Italian Restaurant Adults Only
"Very friendly hotel, room with a view of the pool, very cute, decorated with great taste, very well equipped (fridge, safe, hairdryer) Beach accessible by a small path. Very efficient and really very friendly staff. Excellent and really very generous breakfast. Very relaxing."
Mayai Ocean Resort
"We had the pleasure of staying at this charming small resort for the past three days and all I can say is it was THE perfect place to enjoy Zanzibar. Maiya Ocean resort is quite new and the restaurant and grounds are spotless. The food was amazing and so very reasonable especially when you consider the quality and portion size. The vibe at the restaurant and lounge area is just what I hoped for. Fresh, stylish, comfortable and there are games and puzzles and such to while away the afternoons. Jazz plays at breakfast and there is great music gently playing in the background the rest of the day. The pools are warm and clean. The rooms are basic but spotless and the service is beyond measure. Everyone is friendly and polite and not remotely pushy at all. Honestly I could not have asked for a better place to unwind after two weeks in safari. It’s a lovely and safe stroll up to the busier area around Paje but if you don’t want the typical all inclusive resort feel, I can’t recommend this gem enough. Oh and the price point is amazing!!"
Paje by Night
"I didn't stay at Paje by night but I came for the yoga classes. I had a weekly pass and attended at least one class every day. Palma is a great teacher, after a few sessions I had a good understanding of the ashtanga yoga, and she shared some videos and a pdf booklet of the postures to continue the practice when back home. She was always open to adapt the class to the needs or wishes of those who attended it. I liked the setting of the yoga studio as well, covered but still having the feeling of being outside and well ventilated. I recommend the class to those looking for a relaxing holiday in Paje. "
