If you have more time, or if it's not your first time in Xinjiang, you should definitely spend a few days in Kuitun; it's truly wonderful. The Ali BBQ we had in Kuitun was the best barbecue we had in the past two weeks, and it was worth the long wait. (However, we couldn't add the lamb skewers later, so we had to go early; the lamb skewers were so delicious that you'll want to bang your head against the wall.)"
