I was very happy we decided to stay at Delfins Beach Resort. We stayed in one of the two-bedroom apartments. The main pool is very nice, with direct access to the bar. We typically skipped the buffet and got breakfast at Boertiek, which offered decent coffee, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, and pastries. For lunch or a casual dinner, the Beach Brasserie was excellent—I especially enjoyed the goat stew. And for a more formal dinner (by island standards), the Brass Boer was truly excellent—arguably the best restaurant on Bonaire—and we ate at many excellent restaurants during our weeklong visit.

I wanted to love this Hilton but was spoiled by the beaches of Curacao’s Kontiki and Aruba’s overall. We booked a two King bedroom apartment which was beautiful and well serviced, but it’s time for new towels. All the encounters with hotel staff were absolutely wonderful! They were all fantastic and super helpful and genuine. The beach here is not for easy water access if you don’t plan to snorkel. They have one set of steps leading from the relaxation and sunning area behind a rock wall which leads down to a super rocky and shell covered beach. DO NOT forget to bring water shoes. I almost fell as I entered the water which wouldn’t have been too bad because it was HOT! The independently owned restaurants on the property have less than desirable food. Tropical served me a cheese burger with stale bread my first night. I think folks here like overcooked fries because I needed a new order that weren’t overcooked. Kolo served us frozen barbecued wings and a super bland Caribbean pasta dish and Caribbean fries on our second chance to allow them to get it right. The shrimp were fresh but the fish was not scaled. Everything seems pre frozen. They should consider getting some actual chefs for the prices which are Bonaire HIGH and don’t match the quality of the food. Most of the cooks were a let down for this Foodie! I didn’t go to the Brass Boer because the name reminded me of apartheid. I had my best food from the Big Red Stork Truck on Te Amo Beach (except El Mundo) which was where I had to go for the sandy beach experience. Both recommended by a local native. Overall, the Hilton is a beautiful space with bad food and beautiful people working there. Thanks to them for making my one week stay enjoyable! I wish someone had written an honest review before I booked here.

Absolutely a terrible experience from beginning to the end. At check in they could not find my reservation for 10 min. I had already checked in on the Hilton app yet the folks at the front desk were absolutely mind blown saying I didn’t have a reservation. Once they found the reservation, the experience only went downhill from there. Arrived at the room only to find that the bedroom is the only room air conditioned. We booked the ocean front single bedroom apartment. Pretty expensive experience and the living room didn’t have blinds. It was so hot we felt sick to the stomach in the room. The bedroom has a small air conditioner in wall running for its life. The ceiling fan in the ceiling didn’t work in the bedroom. We reported it and was told maintenance would have a look. The maintenance man could not fix it and we then was told we are out of luck. There was only one bath towel in the room for 2 people. No wash clothes. No blankets. Only a sheet. Mattress is super comfortable after you sweat through to it. The front desk does not sell or provide missing amenities. Had to spend 40 dollars for a round trip taxi to buy a razor for the ms when hers was forgotten. There is a small shop that is open limited hours and closed on Sunday which has very little in it (no razor). 4 restaurants on the property 3 of them you can’t charge to your room. 2 small pools. The real kicker that really made me mad, the first night there was a wedding reception blasting music till 11 pm so loud I could feel the base in the bedroom. The second night was peaceful. The last night live music still blasting at 9:30 pm and counting. I would honestly not waste your money on this place. I am a Hilton diamond member and have stayed in Hilton hotels and resorts all over the world and this one is absolutely the worst Hilton resort I have ever stayed in. They all have the quirks but this one puts the icing on the cake. The only reason the reviews getting 2 stars is because all of the staff is super nice. They just have not been given the resources to make people’s stay memorable for the right reasons. You can’t rent a car directly from the hotel which is pretty convenient and diamond members get 25 percent off. Other than that be ready to sweat your tail off with uncomfortable furniture in the living room and on balcony if you have one with zero places to buy refreshments other than an expensive taxi ride. Super disappointing experience. Would not recommend this property until they get there act together.

What an absolute gem on Bonaire! Delfins Beach Resort creates an unforgettable experience with excellent service and warm hospitality. The accommodations & amenities are modern and comfortable, with everything you need for a luxurious stay. Stayed in a villa myself which I highly recommend for families or larger parties. Also fantastic that the resort is committed to sharing the beauty and culture of Bonaire. Ideal combo of exploring the island and relaxing at the resort. The resort itself has a laid back vibe and as far as I am concerned perfect for the balance of exploring and relaxing. Highly recommended for those looking for a tropical getaway with character, comfort and a heavy dose of Caribbean charme!

We recently stayed at Delfins for 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Our ocean view room was in the B building, and it was ideal for our needs. The grounds were beautiful and the pools were very nice, a few more loungers at the pools would serve guests better. We only ate at the BBQ restaurant and had great service and delicious small plates. We frequented the Frescu cafe for coffee and the staff was always friendly! Be sure to check their hours though, not just there, but everywhere on the island!! The Monday night sing-a-long @ the fire pit was a nice surprise! We had a bit of a mishap our last morning, but Jorge and team were quick to jump in and handled it very professionally. Thank you all for a wonderful getaway!!

This was a fine hotel, but had its flaws. The beds were super firm and just had a sheet and an extremely thin blanket. Room wasn’t great. The bathroom felt dated, and didn’t have AC. There was a mini split in the main room for air conditioning but it blew pretty hard on the bed at night, with the poor blanket system. Cleaning was on the bad side. The only day that our fridge was stoked with the 2 complimentary water bottles you are supposed to get each day was the second day, and never again. We ran out of soap on the 2nd day and this was also not refilled (despite calling to the front desk and also having the container off of the stand- it was clearly empty). When we were checking out there was a guest at the front desk telling them that she didn’t have her room cleaned at all most of the week despite calling and didn’t get new towels, so guess it could have been worse. Not what you hope and expect when you’re booking a Hilton but maybe they are still working it out. The tv, walls, and furniture in the room felt dated. Not all of the bars are set up to accept charging things to your room. Not the end of the world but not convenient. There is a swim up bar but I’m guessing you would need a credit card which deterred us from trying to go to that one. The beach is good. Not sandy, very coral-y, but the water is gorgeous and good for snorkeling. Bring water socks and you will be fine. The breakfast buffet was good. A good amount of pastries, made to order eggs/omelette station was a highlight. The coffee machine was hit or miss. The grounds are beautiful and the prices seemed reasonable. Good amounts of parking, on our next trip to Bonaire I would first look for another place but would also consider staying here again if it was the most reasonable option. Hopefully some of the kinks are worked out by the.
