A Wonderful Stay at Gateway Hotel Calicut. Comfortable, Scenic, and Family-Friendly We stayed at Gateway Hotel Calicut for two days as a group of 20 family members, including children, during a family get-together and convocation ceremony. We had booked six rooms on the 5th floor, all offering beautiful views of the sea and pool, which made our stay extra special.
The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, supportive, and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met with warmth and efficiency. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, ideal for a large group like ours.
A highlight of our stay was the complimentary breakfast, which was outstanding—a wide and delicious spread of local and continental dishes that catered to both adults and kids alike.
Overall, we had a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Gateway Hotel Calicut provided the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and scenic beauty. We highly recommend it for families or groups visiting the city.

It was my friend’s birthday, and we chose to celebrate it with a stay at The Gateway Hotel, Calicut. Shortly after booking, I received a call from the hotel informing me that the property was undergoing renovations and that the pool and spa would not be operational during our stay. Despite this, we decided to go ahead with our booking and I’m so glad we did! To our pleasant surprise, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay truly comfortable. Every interaction was marked by warmth, courtesy, and genuine helpfulness. The room was beautiful, offering charming views over the pool and the city skyline. Breakfast was a really good, however the buffet was not available due to low occupancy but the kitchen staff gave us a good variety of options to choose from and everything which came to the table was delicious, abundant, and of excellent quality. The location couldn’t be better it’s close to the beach and many awesome Cafes nearby Honestly, I have no real complaints apart from the plumbing and facade of the property which felt a little dated but everything else more than made up for it. Overall, The Gateway Hotel made our special occasion even more memorable, and I would happily return. #stayincalicut #gatewayhotel #taj

Staff are extremely friendly but few of them are also very unprofessional. One staff in particular kept us asking about our checkout data from day one itself. Also hygiene issue in kitchen with cockroaches falling from ac vents to foods and insects roaming around food.

Thankyou So much for the hospitality. Excellent property with one of the best ,supportive, cooperative, humble and helpful staff. The hotel is completely aligned to customer needs and experience instead of profit motive.Just a request...the in house menu for lunch and dinner needs little revamp. Do consider adding few more items in the menu. Thankyou once again

It has been a wonderful Experience staying at this hotel close to beech. Rooms very well designed, big swimming pool . The food was extraordinary and the staff very polite, informative and active. Best in Kozhikode.
