Unmatched staff! Every person was pleasant and kind. It is great for families with kids as there are activities and plenty of recreational spaces. The staff do a good job of cleaning but the humidity creates a musty smell. Perhaps something the hotel can deal with. Airport pick up and drop off should be free (it isn’t though). We would go back because of the welcoming staff and ambience.

We are having a pathetic time out here! This is the second time we are visiting this property. We got very good service the first time we were here but now it’s really bad. The management must have changed but this low standard is not expected from Taj. We stayed at Leela before this and got treated royally! The price is almost the same since we have booked a plunge pool suite here but the service is pathetic !!! Welcome drink was offered only when we asked for some water!! Our room was not ready even till the standard check in time! Even then they could not offer us lunch which is a basic etiquette Taj follows. We have stayed at almost all the properties of Taj but never have we ever received such cold welcome. Manager is not bothered to ask us about the romantic dinner we paid for, inspite of us having an early morning flight tomorrow !! The curry restaurant smells very bad.. like something is rotten inside or some animal has died in there. Food is also bad. The dinner we had last night was not good. In breakfast everything is cold and soggy. Nobody is taking care that the stoves are in and food stays warm. I don’t know how peple are tolerating this behaviour in a Taj property. I am mortified by this behaviour. They are not even ready to just spice up the food. I asked them to put some onion and green chillies in bhaji and they falt out refused. Pathetic !!!!!!! Never ever coming back to this place. Might not hi to any Taj now.. JW, Leela, Oberoi are Musca better than current Taj standards.

Experience was good and also the hospitality. This property is huge and offers a lot to explore. Few things which i do not like - 1. The room size was too small, although room was upgraded for me but at this price point, i would expect a bigger room so that my toddler can move around freely. 2. Dinner buffet was below expectation and personally i did not like the overall choices. They said that i can order if i need anything but the messaging was not clear what i can order or what i can not. I asked, i can Kerela style Prawns but they denied. So there should be clarity or list publlished what i can or can not order in dinner package apart from set dinner buffet. There was no specific kerela cuisines in breakfast or in dinner which was surprising for me. 3. I asked whether i can check out an hour late as my 1 year old baby just slept but they denied and did not even accomodate for 1 hour. This is normally provided in other hotel brands like IHG. 4. I was denied High tea and they said i am late. In the detail card that was provided at the time of check in the time mentioned was 5:30 to 6:30 . We went at 6 and they told us it is 4:30 -5:30 (this time may have been told at the time of check in but you can not expect guest who is cheking in to remeber all those timings like breakfast, Yoga, activity, high tea, complimentry boating etc..its just too much). All details should be mentioned on the flyer and on the flyer timing was incorrect.

Very kind and courteous staff here. I really wants to thank Mr. Harish for delicious dishes exactly as per our taste. Mr. Abhishek suggested us food here n it was perfect. Entire team at restaurants, the housekeeping staff, team at reception all are just so kind and helpful. We had an amazing stay. Feels like a family.

We stayed at Taj Kovalam in the Premium Suite Sea View with a private pool for four nights at the end of August, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, offering both a serene natural setting with lush greenery and a beautiful seaside area for walks. The staff were always friendly, smiling, and eager to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only minor downsides were the older furniture, such as the TV and sofa-bed, which could use an upgrade, and the Wi-Fi in our room, which was slow at times. Despite these, our overall stay was excellent, and we truly enjoyed the resort’s unique charm and hospitality.

Our stay was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the care shown by the chef and the staff. My daughter and I both have several food intolerances. We were touched by the effort made to accommodate us at every turn. From meals tailored to our needs to thoughtful little gestures (one staff member even remembered my coffee order, and we were met with watermelon popsicles after a swim! ) we felt genuinely cared for. The 16-acre property itself is gorgeous, and kid-friendly. There’s a wide ***** of lawn sandwiched by water on both sides, where children can run and play. The seafood restaurant, Bait, is sea facing and it combines delicious food with a spectacular view of the sea and a lagoon. Their high tea at Bait as well as the infinity pool quickly became one of our favourite spots to unwind. We left feeling cared for, relaxed, and eager to return. And we certainly will.
