"Take great care.. when i was booking on line i requested a cot for our baby as i was not clear on the information provided relating to no beds. I received no response. I requested clarification and this was provided only one day before our trip. They could not provide a cot and accordingly we could not stay here. We were very disappointed to be charged 80% of the cost whether they had the right to or not. Very disappointed Adrian"

Aqua Hotel

"The front desk is very nice. The hotel is not in the city center but they will give you a bus voucher which takes only about ten minutes and can be used for two days. Although we didn't use it, hahaha. There are Aldi, Lidl and gas stations around. Parking is free, which is very good. The room is big and the breakfast is OK. Recommended for self-driving. I love Lake Constance so much!"

Hotel Barleben am See

"I wish I could give you a lesser than 1 star. It was such a pathetic service. My friend was supposed to stay here on the business trip. Upon checking the room, there were many bugs found on the bed and wall, there was a large spider under the washbasin, there was a silverfish near the shoe area, there was an alcohol bottle lying around under the bed. When he called the reception to kindly arrange for an alternate room looking at the condition, they were extremely rude and dismissive. It was very late in the night and the manager asked to either sleep with such condition or leave the hotel. I am attaching the photos here. It is very intolerable for any guest to go through this. No service at all. Would think 100 times before booking this hotel."

"We only stayed one night but overall the hotel did not meet expectations: first of all the room was supposed to be a Superior type A and instead we were assigned a standard one (in the end we accepted a discount on the payment given the impossibility of changing it); the rooms with carpet and dated furniture did not feel clean. Only the bathroom (particularly small) has been renovated. We had to request toiletries which were just basic. The breakfast room also needs renovation (for example, it is not pleasant to sit on a stained chair), breakfast was fine. In conclusion, in our opinion, the price paid is too high compared to the product supplied."

"Everything was great at the hotel. The location, facilities, breakfast, etc. were great, so I was able to rest comfortably. I want to go back..ㅜㅜ The Swiss border is 100m in front of the accommodation, so you can go to Switzerland too."

"The upsides are the good location and the decent breakfast. Unfortunately, here it ends. The elevator was out of order for the whole duration of our stay (three nights) under different excuses (technician is coming tomorrow, the spare part is not available and has to be ordered, and so on, not exceedingly imaginative). There is no air conditioning and the top floor room we were allocated was next to unbearable with 30+ degrees outside. The curtains are not sun blocking, so anyone sensitive to daylight should expect to rise with the sun. The furniture, including the kitchenette is very dated, although in working order. Definitely not something I would expect to experience in Konstanz, a town I adore since first visiting it about 30 years ago. To even nearly live up to the price we paid, this establishment needs a complete renovation as well as retraining of the staff to try to steer them in the direction of being result-oriented."

"The Hotel is one of those self-check in types, without a reception. We hadn’t received the code at all, so we had to phone the service number. Person on the phone was good and gave us the code. Very comfortable bed and large room, excellent for the price we paid. In a pretty quiet area surrounded by office buildings, and business parking. Very close to Train station, but not too much around. Cons: Could have been a little bit cleaner, there was hair in the shower drain for example, and a few things didn’t work: a lamp, heated towel rail, the shower door was also missing."

"The hotel was generally good, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, there were some inconveniences. There was no kettle or water boiler in the room, so I had to go down to the lobby every time I wanted coffee or tea. In the evening, the coffee machine area was closed, and I had to ask the reception to open it. Sometimes the staff were not available or were busy, which made it difficult. On one occasion, I had to leave the hotel and buy coffee from a nearby coffee shop. It would be much more convenient if there were kettles in the rooms or if the coffee machine were accessible at all times."

"The rooftop view is excellent, breakfast is good, the four-person rooms have balconies and are very comfortable, and the double rooms have bathtubs."

"This place is a gem. It is located in a historic building in the heart of a fabulous town. We thoroughly enjoyed the architectural details and art work in the lobby, hallways, shared sitting room, and in our private room. Our room exceeded exceptions - with a couch and chairs along with a large, comfortable bed. The staff was helpful from check-in to check-out. We highly recommend."
