"Large hotel with a great view of the surrounding area. Located within easy walking distance of the train station, very central and at the entrance to the castle ruins. Room was spacious, and well furnished, but the bathroom was slightly dated, however did have a modern toilet. This hotels clientele is Japanese by a vast majority, but staff and signs are multilingual, unlike what I'd heard. As this hotel is in a city which does not get too many foreigners, and is off the traditional tourist route, I was genuinely surprised at how welcomed I was by both staff and guests. Very charming! Cleanliness could be worked on, and does need updating, but the feel of the whole place more than makes up for these shortfalls."

"It's an average business hotel. It's up a hill from Komoro Station, so it's not that convenient if you're traveling to Komoro Castle ruins. The atmosphere is 80s, and the cleaning is so-so (the bath is not very clean). There were two problems. The first is that you can't connect to Wi-Fi in the room. I'm not sure if you have to tell the front desk. The second is that the air conditioning is so loud that you can't sleep, probably because the entire building is air-conditioned. It feels like you're sleeping directly under the exhaust fan (high), regardless of whether the air conditioning is on or off. I didn't eat there, and the front desk was nice, so I can't really comment on that, but the facilities are too old and it feels overpriced."

"We LOVED our stay here! The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive to any need you may have. We had access to a private bath which was wonderful. Breakfast was prepared specifically for us and was delicious. The hosts gave us lots of tips for good food and activities in the area, and even helped make reservations for bike rentals. Highly recommend staying here, it was worth every penny."

"It was a cozy, warm, and lovely inn. You can feel the inn's thoughtfulness in everything from the meals and the small rest area to the stoves scattered along the still-chilly corridors. The food was truly "heartfelt." Everyone at the inn was cheerful and kind. The hot spring (with lots of apples floating in it, which was cute) had clean, refreshing water that warmed you up wonderfully. However, it's quite a walk from the room. It's designed to be sheltered from the elements, so it's not cold, but you have to climb quite a few stairs, so people with bad legs or knees should be careful (the women's bath is even further up). By the way, the view from the window isn't spectacular. Also, Taisho-kan has the old-fashioned "bathroom and toilet outside the room." The owner of this inn also owns a winery and has won many awards for his wines. I tried some with dinner and it was delicious."

"The building has a retro feel, with a cave-like interior bath that gives off an early Showa/Taisho period vibe. However, the ceiling of the passageway was covered in mold and some parts were missing. The bathroom was also covered in moss, and I wondered if it was ever cleaned. There were three bathtubs, 41℃/32℃/14℃ (cold water), and I realized the unexpected effectiveness of the cold bath, but the water at 32℃ was not circulating and I felt uncomfortable, so I hesitated to soak in it. There is an outdoor bath called "Kumonosuke" that can be accessed by cable car from Tokiwakan, which is a few minutes' walk away, and it is free to enter, but other than the view, there was nothing particularly impressive about it. The worst part was the food, and I couldn't help but think that it was only 20,000 yen per night for the amount and quality. Especially the breakfast, it was so good that I could make it much more delicious in a short time if I made it myself. The employees were all students, so they didn't even greet me. The person in charge of food seemed to be the owner, but he was completely alone and left the customers alone. He was also not very friendly. I think they should think a little about how they run the place and how they manage it. A return visit is unfortunately not possible."

"The hotel is right next to Komoro Station and offers free parking, making it very convenient for travelers who are driving and staying overnight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the front desk staff are very friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance."
