Only 1 hour from Chubu airport next to the Mitaki river in serene & naturally blessed Yunoyama onsen town, a tourist destination since the Nara period Explore. Nearby shrines, museums Rooms. Villa Tekkei 鉄景 was one of 9 villas built next to the river My outdoor natural alkaline hotspring bath was incredibly relaxing, just watching the clouds roll away to unveil Gozaisho mountain — my absolute favorite part of this stay @ the hotel Super efficient in room check-in and excellent service. Various dinner options: I was at Sa-la Bianchi Al-che-cciano, cuisine inspired by Masayuki Okuda. Can go to the public bath Agua Ignis but I had no motivation to leave. Food & drinks. They have several restaurant options: I love many fusion restaurants in Japan (i.e. Italian /French food using Japanese ingredients ) but found locavore Il-ché-cciano to be decent quality only. Prices. $845 including dinner & breakfast Rating. 4/5 Loved my villa but 1) the Italian dinner was a disappointment, next time I will stick with the Japanese options 2) not too private: villa Tekkei overlooks the river, the Kannon Shoja & community center. Tekkei was also the closest to the Yunoyama Bridge and the main road."

"Although the building is old, it was well kept and clean. Most of the staff were young, but they spoke well and had good customer service. There were various services such as free drink vending machines, cute patterned yukatas for women to choose from, a play area for children, and popcorn making facilities. The large public bath was made of glass and felt nice, but the open-air bath was outside between the trees, which was wonderful. Although it was the cheapest plan, the food was plentiful and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. We had only planned to visit the hot springs, but the next day the weather was nice so we took the Gozaisho Ropeway to the top of the mountain. The view from the ropeway was good, and I was very happy to see frost-covered trees on the mountain."
