We had booked two rooms at Leela Ashtamudi for October 30 th to Nov 1st.since we had kids traveling so we enquired at the front desk and the provided toll free number reg amenities specifically the pool and then completed our reservation.we recived a mail one week after reservation that the pool is closed for maintenance till November 2nd...disappointed that the management could not accommodate the amenities that were part of inclusion during reservation.On contacting the front desk nobody could even feel sorry for what we are going through and they were so self centred and lax to not even speak back politely or provide an alternative..would never even think to have a stay at Leela Ashtamudi.

The property had a beautiful view of the ashtamudi lake. We had booked room with lake view which gave us the beautiful view of the lake with sunrise and sunset. The staff was very hospitable and the food at the breakfast and high tea was very good. The whole experience of staying at leela ashtamudi was very serene and memorable one.

Food is good, rooms are old, not maintained well. Wash basin was leaking. Bathroom partition was stinking, flush release knob was tight, not working well

The stay was pleasant, food was good, not excellent, rooms were spacious, staff were very courteous. Overall it was a good stay, but did not have the 5 star experience, mainly because of the rush as it was a holiday weekend. Check-in had around 1 hour delay. It was a good stay, but could've been better.

Worst Experience at Leela Raviz Ashtamudi: A Disappointing and Disrespectful Stay My recent stay at Leela Ravish Ashtamudi was nothing short of a disaster. I expected a relaxing time with friends, but what we encountered left us angry, disgusted, and deeply disappointed. First, let’s talk about the shocking lack of hospitality. We were outright denied permission to even take a simple photo near our car with friends—a moment we wanted to capture after an otherwise pleasant day. The staff were rude and condescending, giving no reasonable explanation other than a dismissive “not allowed here.” Excuse me? In what world is taking a few personal photos such a crime? This is supposed to be a luxury hotel, not a prison! The attitude of the staff left a horrible taste in our mouths, making us feel unwelcome and disrespected. As guests, we were treated like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. The way they handled such a small request showed how poorly they understand the basic tenets of hospitality. The experience was not just frustrating but deeply hurtful, leaving us heavy-hearted. For a place that claims to be high-end, Leela Ravish Ashtamudi certainly doesn’t know the meaning of customer service. If you want to be treated poorly and have your time ruined, then by all means, book a stay here. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a decent, respectful hotel experience.
