"We had a brilliant stay at the Ruka Valley Apartments with Crystal Holidays! We stayed in a family studio which was an ideal size for a family of 4 and had everything we needed for our self catering holiday. We loved being so close to the slopes and having our own ski locker outside the door. We also found the drying cabinet really handy too. The accommodation is finished to a really lovely standard, the beds were very comfy and we loved having our own sauna to warm up after a long days skiing! The staff were very friendly and helped us book taxis for our trip to Lammintupa Winter Village where we did husky sledging and snow mobiles for the children. Ruka Valley was much quieter than the village side which we really liked but it's easy enough to hop on the Gondola to visit Ruka Village where there are lots more bars and restaurants and a bigger grocery shop. There is a shop on the valley side which stocked most things you would need but there was a little more choice in the village shop. Ruka Valley is ideal for families and beginners as it is located by the nursery slope and the family park. We had two lovely meals in the Camp Kitchen and Bar which is within the same building. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious! We fell in love with Ruka Valley and would love to return again soon for another amazing holiday in a winter wonderland!"

"Great accommodation and centrally located. We stayed as a family in a 2 bedroom apartment and it came equipped with full kitchen, lovely seating area, double shower and sauna. The views from the apartment were amazing and with it being so central getting to all local amenities was very easy"

"Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful glass igloos nestled in the autumn forest. A wonderful oasis of tranquility. I can't understand the negative reviews. The igloos are small, but perfectly furnished, and it is, after all, an event hotel. The area is beautiful for hiking. Breakfast was excellent; we were able to simply tick off our choices the evening before, as we were the only guests at the time, ensuring no food was wasted at the buffet. The only downside is that the sauna isn't included and is quite expensive at €47 per use."

"We had a family room with a bunk bed that was too small for a 15-year-old. I suspected the chambermaid was on leave herself. She only visited us once in five days, even though we had filled out the form at reception indicating we wanted room cleaning. We had to request fresh towels ourselves at reception. Breakfast was good; it had everything you'd expect. Dinner was also fine, delicious, and the service was friendly."

"Absolutely brilliant apartments, clean and well equipped. As a family of 3 we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was plenty big enough. Drying cabinet was excellent and so was the sauna. We were in block c which was just at the bottom of the fist hill so an excellent location. To get to the village it was a walk up a small hill and then you could do the steps (70) up to the village, or take a longer gentle walk round. We will be back loved it x Hairdryer, towels included."
