Lovely location with beach access. We stayed in a Cottage room, which had a large king-size bed and a single bed. The mattress was firm. Although the room was more than adequate for our stay, it is not luxurious. No room service is provided, but rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast was included and offered thai food and western based breakfast items ( although it was luke warm at best) The dinner menu was very thai, fish based, but they did have pizzas or burger and bbq items. I ate mainly thai. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, although a couple of times we ordered food or drink for it to never appear. Beach .. sea was lovely and clear , and sand was soft and clean. You can walk over to the neighbouring bay for more restaurant options. The usual downer is the people that insist on reserving sunbeds and barely using them... frustrating when they are unused for 4 or more hours.

Our absolute favorite on Koh Samed. The beach is perfect size, white sand, crystal waters and beautifully calm. The hotel is situated just on the beach so the breakfast views are stunning, it’s only two steps from the restaurant onto the sand and the many beach beds. Breakfast is ok, the Thai food is good. The staff are always fabulous and can’t do enough for you. We stayed in the standard rooms this time but they were not as nice as the bungalows.

Our Favorite Island Escape! This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave. The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings. The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special. We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

Clean resort located in a very nice bay. The room is simple but sufficiently equipped. The bed is comfortable. There is a restaurant in the resort. The food is fine and quite affordable. The surroundings of the resort are amazing. A few meters away from the sea 🌊

Stopped here several times and we love it. Excellent staff, right on the beautiful beach and good rooms. Proper chill vibe at the hotel. A little spot in paradise. See you again in around 3 months

Great place to vacation. Loved it. Love the cottage- and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Food n drinks are reasonably priced. Enjoyed the volleyball with the staff and other guests every evening. Will definitely be heading back if I happen to go to Koh Samet again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect right on a beautiful and quiet beach The sea is perfect to paddle and relax in and so clear You can also rent kayaks and explore nearby and snorkel The rooms are simple but clean and very close to the beach The restaurant serves a simple but nice breakfast and overlooks the beach and you can have lunch and dinner too It is too far to walk to the main town area but you can take a baht bus Would definitely stay here again!

The chalets were a good size and just a few metres from the beach & dining complex . The swimming pool was also there. The staff were helpful and the beach front had many bars/restaurants . There's no traffic so it's a lovely quiet location . We will visit again

Good location and easy to go to shopping mall, clean room

I was so lucky to get a promo price for this hotel. It's right on the beach and you can relax without going somewhere else. Not large was the room but pretty cozy. The hotel had a restaurant and bar by the beach, and cocktails were exceptional there. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Western and Asian. I would definitely love to stay there again.

Nice location and great staff

Nice Thai local resort located on Ao beautiful Wong Duean bay. Direct access to the beach with a clean and enjoyable environment. The whole facility would need refreshment. Breakfast is average. Good if looking for a good location without high standards.

First time on this island and first time in a resort. I was traveling during Chinese New Year so there were many guests, but it wasn't crowded. I really enjoyed my stay and would return. The hotel is a series of cabins near the beach. The hotel, and several other hotels, all sit on the same bay so there's no reason to leave the area. Vongdeuan Resort is where I ate most of my meals and I thought the food was good (I ate mostly Thai food), but you could eat/drink at one of the neighboring places too- all offer dinner on the beach. I liked that I didn't need to leave this area, but easily could go to town if I wanted to. It's easy to walk (30-45 minutes) or motorcycle (5 minutes) to the small city area on the island (ATM location). The resort can rent a bike for you or you can rent one from one of the neighboring business. The island is quite small and there are public beaches too. If I had to do it over again, I would try for one of the cabins close to the beach, but it nice where I was farther away. The cabin was clean, comfortable, good bed, and good bathroom - no complaints. I also thought that staff and management did a great job. I was here as a solo traveler, but this place seems to be set up for couples and family. Overall, it was great experience and I recommend.
