Mira Montra Resort Koh Mak ★★★★
"Fantastic hotel, 10 out of 5 stars! The staff are always smiling and go out of their way to help with everything. It's perfectly clean everywhere! Breakfasts are delicious, and so are the dinners. A nice bonus is lunch from 3 PM to 5 PM. Thank you for the room upgrade, it was a lovely surprise. We'll definitely be back! "
Lazy Day the Resort ★★★
"Solitude with nature Beautiful wild beach without sunbeds, only hammocks Breakfasts are wonderful Staff is beyond praise Smells delicious in the bungalow Lots of photo zones A must visit if you are on this island for at least a couple of days"
Makathanee Resort ★★★
"The resort was our first stop while island hopping around Koh Chang. The complex was beautifully laid out, but the management unfortunately did not manage to keep the complex in good condition, neither in the bungalows nor in the restaurant/bar area nor in the entrance area, which looked more like a junkyard. Only the garden looked well maintained. Everyone can then judge this in detail for themselves. Another no-go in our opinion was that the beach towels were also given out as shower towels (smelled really musty). The staff were friendly, the receptionist organized our transfer to Ko Kood. We were able to come to terms with the circumstances for the four nights. The speedboat from the mainland (Krum Luang Pier, departure 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.) stops at the hotel's own pier, so there are no further transfers on the island. Many good restaurants are within walking distance. The stay was fine for us, if we visit the island again we will choose another resort. This review is not based on a lack of knowledge of Asia and/or false expectations of the hotel. We also looked at the reviews in advance. Of course you can/have to turn a blind eye here and there in Asia, but you don't have to look at everything through rose-colored Asian glasses, after all, you have to pay for your stay. Note: We had already heard about the sand flies on the beaches in advance, and the hotel had also pointed this out, so we used the loungers on the lawn in the garden, which was also very nice, unfortunately, like almost all of the hotel guests, we were also stabbed there by the beasts. We had already brought various ointments with us from Germany, and a friendly local pharmacist helped us with an ointment (Fucidin H and an anti-allergic Loratadine)."
Yo's Corner : Co-working Space (Kohmak)
"The hotel is new, but the rooms are very small. We had one with a balcony facing the road, which wasn't great – even though the island isn't heavily populated, sleeping with the window open was impossible. The beach is right across from the hotel, literally 50 meters to the water. However, the beach is all rocky, and there are hardly any good swimming spots. I definitely don't recommend coming to this island for the water and sand. If you're looking for peace and quiet, then yes, but everything else is below par."
Koh Mak Buri Hut Natural Resort ★★★
"Nice beach resort with welcoming and helpful resort staffs. Highly recommended and for a relaxing stay."
The Mak Trat ★★★★
"A beautiful designer resort with rooms scattered throughout a sloping garden that leads to the always very windy beach. Staff don't speak English but communicate via WhatsApp and Google Translate. They didn't understand us when we asked to collect our luggage for departure; we had to carry it up the hill ourselves. They didn't understand when we asked for information or when we ordered food. In short, there's no manager to coordinate. The breakfast is good, but there's little staff and poor service."
A.P.guest house koh mak ★★
"Friendly people, ac room with fridge, free drinking water & electric kettle. We rented a bike for fair price & really enjoyed chill vibe on Kob Mak.Topper was free shuttle to the ferry on exit morning."
Koh Mak Resort ★★★
"We were there for two days, and for two of them we didn't have a functioning toilet. We were regularly woken up at night because the water in the toilet was rising. They have a general problem with the sewage system. Another annoying thing was that the entrance door downstairs didn't lock, allowing anything wet or damp to get in. The pool was murky and not at all inviting for a swim. Overall, for the high price, it was more of a "shack.""
Little Moon Villa ★★
"We were in the 3rd villa and this is the most amazing view that we have ever had on this island, and we have lived in 5 different hotels and we have something to compare with. Very spacious villa with high ceilings with a bathroom overlooking the sea, it's amazing. Breakfasts were a choice, we tried 4 different sets, so to speak, they are for an amateur, delicious cappuccino. We recommend this hotel because of the view, it's amazing."
