Mali Resort Sunrise Beach Koh Lipe Reviews

I loved the location of the hotel and found the staff to be very helpful. Our arrival by boat was canceled due to bad weather, but when I called the hotel, they kindly agreed to let us extend our stay. The pool is large, and our room was perfectly situated right in front of it and near to the beach. The bathroom was spacious, and the mattress ensured a great night's sleep. The kids were thrilled, and overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return to Mali Resort Sunrise Beach Koh Lipe.

This is my second time stayed at Mali Resort. I am a bit disappointed this time. - Not sure what was happening the tapping water is very yellowish. We dare not to use it to wash our face or gargle. - Most of the staff are very nice & friendly. Only one of them is very rude. When we are trying to ask the reason why we can’t use the kayak during evening time, she was replied us in very rude way.

I had a good 2-night stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the room and amenities were very clean and well-maintained. The facilities were also top-notch. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of choices, and being a buffet, you could enjoy as much as you liked. The location is convenient, as it’s near the beach. While the beach itself is decent, the water isn't as clear as you might find at a sunset beach, but it's still a nice spot for sunbathing and swimming. There are also many boats parked nearby, and activities like kayaking are available. Additionally, it's close to walking streets and food places, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, a satisfying stay with plenty to do nearby.

The concept is pretty nice, but the bungalows are quite outdated — we stayed at 3 different hotels (2 on the sunrise beach, 1 at the north pole) and all the hotels are a bit oudsted inside. The girls at the reception were great, helped us with everything we asked for. The territory is not that big, compared to other resorts. But very green and a nice layout. The biggest disappointment was the a/c — it was old and very noisy, even at the minimum fan level, and obviously couldn’t cool the room down. In April and May a/c is the first thing that must work properly cause it’s extremely hooooot. The bathroom at the balinese villa is huge, but there is not air circulation, so after you take a shower be ready for a weird smell — not from pipes, but from the humid space with no ventilation. One more thing we didn’t like was that there was no shower or faucets in the beach area — so when you’re done with your beach activities and head back to the room you won’t find any water to help you get rid of the sand. We had to use the pool for that reason. The breakfast is pretty simple, it’s not a buffet, but you can choose different options from the menu. Very basic taking into account the price you pay for the villa — for the same price you will get an amazing buffet at the Idyllic concept next door with plenty of options, including noodle station, roti station, ice cream, etc. For 1 night it was okay, but I’d hardly choose it for a longer stay.

Excellent hotel, the room is so great and the toilet is just too big. Overall a great place to stay, we enjoyed maximum.

Is all fine except when we arrived the island is flooding..and is pity that the swimming pool also flooded and can't use

Koh Lipe can get very crowded and busy with tourists. The location of the Mali Sunrise is perfect -- close walking distance to the restaurants and bars, but a lovely, quiet beach front that gets you away from the crowds. The owner was great and the food is delicious. We would stay again.

Regrettably, I inadvertently left behind my Samsung earbud headset upon checking out. The response from your staff was not only prompt but went above and beyond in terms of effort to locate and arrange the return of my missing earbuds. So that I was able to collect the headset at Langkawi Jetty Point on next day. This level of dedication to guest satisfaction is truly commendable and sets your service apart. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for ensuring not only that I enjoyed my stay but also that I left with all my belongings intact. The exceptional service provided by Mali Resort Sunrise has set a new standard for hospitality, and I am eager to share this positive experience with friends and family.

I really enjoy the trip in this resort. Clean & suitable for families vacation. We definitely return back to stay in this resort

We stayed in a bungalow room, which was spacious & lovely. A bit tired in places but that is expected I guess in these tropical climates. The bathroom is very spacious & nice. The staff were very helpful, smiling & lovely. Right on the beautiful beach, easy short stroll from your room. Breakfast was a la carte style with a small menu but the simplicity works with the setting & breakfast views are amazing. The pool is a good size however by the afternoon was quite full of bugs/plant debris, which was off putting. Also beware of lots of mosquitos come sunset time (around pool & in room) I haven't given high mark for facilities as its fairly basic /small resort. Main amenity is the pool. The bar restaurant closes at 6pm. No play area for children (though staff are really friendly towards children & welcoming). Overall its a small simple resort, on a lovely beach with lovely welcoming staff. Nice place to relax & unwind.

Beautiful resort. Gorgeous pool. Decent breakfast although coffee was a bit average….. I am A coffee snob though. We staying in a villa which was lovey and heaps of space for 3 of us. Beach is pretty but there seems to be a litter problem in koh lipe now. The staff were picking up beach rubbish at the resort daily.

Territory departments, breakfast excellent! Boats are very disturbing and smell from them is terrible. Beautiful sunrises!
