"I recently checked in during the early hours around 12+ a.m. after booking through Trip.com. Upon entering the room, I was not informed it was a smoking room, and unfortunately, the smell was extremely unpleasant, especially after turning on the air-conditioning which seemed to circulate the stale smoke. This experience was disappointing and unacceptable, especially since there was no prior notice during the booking or at check-in. For health and comfort reasons, I would have never agreed to a smoking room. Please ensure that all customers are clearly informed in advance if they are being assigned a smoking room. Transparency on this matter is essential, especially during late-night check-ins when options to change rooms may be limited. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and review your procedures to avoid similar experiences for future guests."

"Room is per photos. Clean and modern. Plenty of food delivery options nearby. Easy access to subway. Highly recommend. Note it is not within walking distance to Wuyi Square or the main touristy areas but the subway or taxi is easily available. Very convenient."

"Location: It shares the same front space as another hotel, just keep walking to your right to reach this one. The pro here is that it's close to Wuyi Square which is around 10-15 minutes away. There are some restaurants and fruit shops nearby too. It's also pretty close to one of the railway stations, a bit far from the airport though. The bad thing is that it's kind of located on a busy street, so around certain times, there's traffic. Cleanliness: Overall, everything was pretty clean. Service: The front desk girl is really friendly and if you ever need anything, can either WeChat her or call the front desk. She even gifted us with goodies when we left. Facilities: Slept well, bed was soft and comfortable. Everything was pretty good, the only thing I would complain about is probably how high the heater is. I was sweating. Overall, enjoyed my stay here, and would return. I enjoyed having my separate room and having the option for a fridge and microwave just in case. There's free water, snacks, and fruits upon check-in. U.S. passport friendly."

"At 11pm on May 3, this trip to Changsha is coming to an end. I have just washed off my tiredness and can finally take out my mobile phone to make a simple summary of this trip. From the doorman taking the box from my hand to the enthusiastic formalities at the front desk, Marriott's humanistic care is fully reflected. The first moment I entered the room, I ran to the bed. I have sensitive skin and have extremely high requirements for bedding. I soon became happy. The soft sheets and quilts are a good partner for rest and the best medicine for insomnia. The non-slip floor tiles in the bathroom also surprised me. While the hardware facilities are deeply in my heart, you can always trust Marriott's service attitude. So reassuring. Every time I call the front desk, they can always give me the fastest response. The aunts in the life department are always so reliable. I just simply explain, please clean the room. They can put all the chaos I brought to the room back on track, even the towels I brought with me and threw on the sofa will be neatly folded. I can trust them without any worries. After running around all day, I can come back to the house to face a clean environment and fresh air without any worries. My girlfriend said that Changsha on May Day was crowded, dirty and messy everywhere. Thanks to Marriott for bringing peace to our world. "Stayed with the hotel each time when I visited Changsha. Very satisfied with every single stay. Central location with good view of the city, but still quiet. Excellent room services, staffs are very friendly and willing to help (they also have a cute room service robot that delivers your orders to the room). Well equipped gym, with access to pool, sauna and steam room. Great value for money, will absolutely book it again next time when I am in Changsha."

"Very clean and comfortable stay we had. The location is however in a narrow road, and some taxi drivers are not willing to drive through to drop you off. Quite centralised and taxi rides to attractions are within 15-30min range."

"The hotel is very close to Orange Island, May Day Square, and Yuelu Mountain. It is a commercial center. There is a subway station downstairs. You can see the Xiangjiang River when you open the window. The room is clean and hygienic. It was a very good trip."
