We enjoyed our igloo stay, but we did not get to see the northern lights 🙁 nonetheless the sky was very starry and we got to watch the stars instead. The area is very pretty in the day with pink and orange skies. The host is very friendly and hospitable, he picked us up at the train station (upon our request), and even made a stop at the supermarket so we could get our dinner. The room is very clean and there is just a dry toilet. If you want to shower you have to walk to the common area where there is a proper toilet. Recommended!

I stayed in a glass igloo and it was amazing. The serene surroundings made for a peaceful stay. A moose passed by my igloo several times during my stay and I was able to get some decent photos of the aurora borealis. In the winter you can take a short walk across the river and see the sites of Jakkasjärvi, which includes the world famous Ice Hotel. The staff were kind and extremely helpful. The igloo, lounge, and shared bathrooms were immaculate. The provided breakfast was minimal but sufficient. I would highly recommend staying here.

Abbiamo trascorso due notti in un glass igloo river front a marzo 2025 ed è stata un’esperienza eccezionale! La sistemazione è davvero unica: dormire sotto il cielo artico, con la possibilità di vedere l’aurora boreale direttamente dal letto, è qualcosa di indimenticabile. Un ringraziamento speciale a Natalie, che ha reso tutto perfetto con la sua disponibilità e organizzazione. Abbiamo prenotato tramite loro anche un’escursione con le renne e una cena tradizionale Sami: entrambe esperienze molto belle e ben organizzate. L’intero camp è accogliente e suggestivo, perfetto per chi cerca un’immersione nella natura artica. Unica nota: non c’è servizio ristorante a parte la colazione, quindi consigliamo di fare la spesa prima di arrivare. In generale, un soggiorno fantastico che consigliamo a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza autentica e rilassante nella Lapponia svedese! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Terrein was ruim opgezet en rustig. Het houten huisje had een eigen toilet en douche. Eland sporen in de sneeuw tussen de stuga’s. De ontvangst door de host was hartelijk, alhoewel hij ongevraagd ging uitleggen hoe wij naar het Icehotel konden lopen om vervolgens te vragen of wij te lui waren om naar het Icehotel te lopen toen wij aangaven waarschijnlijk met de auto te gaan (gezien onze lichamelijke gesteldheid).
