A beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms. Close to the centre and a ten minute walk from the connexin live location. Lovely breakfast.

Had food in here a couple of times with my son, who lives in the area. Lovely food, great value and friendly service. Bit of a hidden gem in Hull. Well worth a visit!

Went for Sunday Lunch today. Booked in for 2.45. Arrived a bit early but our table was ready so sat down immediately. This is what pubs used to like. Very welcoming staff as we walked in. Lovely vibe to the pub as full of folk of all ages. Wonderful. We had 3 Pork Roast Dinners and 1 Beef roast dinner. Loads of meat and vegetables and 3 extra gravies - Amazing value at £12.95. Very impressed with all the young staff. We shall be back.

I booked 2 rooms for ourselves and friends to see the War of the Worlds at Hull. The location was fantastic - just across the road and a 10 minute walk to Hulls old town. The facilities were outstanding. I have very rarely come across a property where you could genuinely say it was possible to eat off the floor but this property did it. After check in we met up with our friends and the first thing we said to each other was 'you could eat off any surface'. The whole place was pristine. The second thing we said was the beds were so comfy. Next -the staff. They were top notch, friendly, professional and willing to go the extra mile for the guests. When we arrived back after the show we had a couple of drinks in the bar and were made very welcome despite the late hour. We booked a table for lunch the following day and were allowed to stay in our rooms till the pub opened for lunch ( this was really convenient for us as my partner is disabled and was feeling shattered after the concert). The food was loverly, freshly cooked, tasty and very good value - we got the last table for 12.00 noon and all time slots were booked up after that. The Whittington and Cat will now be our goto accommodation when staying in Hull. Highly recommended.

My partner and I love it here, we've stayed several times over the years and it never disappoints. The beds are the comfiest we've ever slept in, the food is very tasty, Gill is a wonderful host. We'll definitely be back!

Got there early and checked in straight away, room was beautiful, abundance of complimentary toiletries and coffee etc, very clean, and bed really comfortable, nice view of marina, and could see connexin live from our window. Had some nice drinks in the bar while watching rugby, staff were really nice and welcoming, even the locals were nice and gave advice on where to go, we had some beautiful food, chilli burger n classic burger, very nice, compliments to the chef, the bar lady was really lovely and friendly. The hotel is ideally located for the connexin and town centre, just a short walk over the bridge, would absolutely stay here again, parking was spot on, camera straight on our car and could stay parked until midnight on our check out day. The hotel was easy to find even with road works and my husbands lack of direction lol, I would give this place 11/10, top notch xxx

Had a pleasant stay at the Whittington. Check in was straightforward, and the room was clean and tidy. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room,,plus extras such as toiletries and an amenity kit.

Decided to give Whittington and cat a try for Sunday lunch , and have to say we was not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Th drinks are reasonably priced and the food is good value for money and very filling. I had the roast lamb dinner and my partner had the steak and ale pie which was a massive wedge. The only thing that would of been nice as an option as a side dish is cauliflower cheese but can not fault it. Definitely recommend booking for a Sunday.
