Staff were helpful and lovely , food was good , service was excellent, rooms need to be upgraded , stains on the wall , carpet ripped, toilet was very lose , every time you used it you felted like the tank was going to fall , nasty stains in the toliet bowl , tv on the wall was very small , the picture next to it was bigger,bedding and towels were clean

Fantastic service from Craig and the team from stat to finish food was amazing and the organisation was spot on we were a party of 14 and we we’re attended to very efficiently and all the food came out at the same time , we were made to feel more than welcome,will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend a visit.

We celebrated my mother in law's 89th Birthday with 30 friends at the Old Grey Mare. I would like to thank all the staff who made the occasion very special. Everyone commented about the buffet been excellent and the staff behind the bar were very friendly and polite. If you are thinking of booking a party I would recommend the Old Gey Mare, Thank you.

Had a lovely stay here. Room was lovely and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was perfect absolutely no complaints. Staff were extremely friendly especially Pete at breakfast, he went above and beyond for everyone, lovely person to be greeted by first thing in the morning. The rooms are a little dated and basic but they had all the amenities needed and for the price it was perfect! Would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly place to stay!
