Clean easy access

My son and I stayed overnight as we traveled from Montreal to Niagara. This is a throwback motel just putside the West side of Kingston. Small. Unassuming. And right on the banks of the St. Lawrence river. Our two queen bed room was spotless and included a freezer/fridge, microwave and kitchen sink. The proprietor thoughtfully includes dishsoap and scrub brush. Bathroom was small, and once again spotless. The bathtub/shower is very small and the shiwer head is placed at a height of maybe 5ft 8 inches. So at 6ft tall I uad to bend into my shower. Water was hot and the pressure was good. Bed linens were crispy clean. The beds and pillows were superb. I saved the best for last. In the rear of the hotel thete is a yard with a firepit and a riverfront dock with Muskoka chairs and tables. We sat out with drinks and in my case my pipe and we shot the breeze and listened to music for about an hour. There are a few river-facing rooms you could ask for when booking. We paid $125 CDN all-in. It's not fancy...but if you want a clean, inexpensive little throwback to anither time, this is your place. One delightful issue though is a train track thar runs across the road. The trains come through regularly during the day and sound their whistles on appeoach into Kingston. This ends at around 10pm. I loved it. Some might not appreciate that little factor.

The nerve to charge $188 per night for this absolute hole in the ground....we arrived late around 7pm. Soon as we got into the room we noticed it was freezing cold. It has no heat!!!! They provided 2 small space heaters tho lol....seriously outdated and falling apart. Oh and if you used the coffee maker and microwave at the same time the power would cut out lmfao....and they charge $188 per night for this room omg!! By far top 3 worst places we have ever stayed at. Not going to lie, but the staff were very friendly, and accommodating. Otherwise this would be a 1 star review for sure. Please see the pics!!

The room was very clean, the people were very friendly. Shower was excellent, bed was big and comfortable. I loved the deck, Sat out and had our coffee in the am. My sister visited us and we sat outside and had drinks.

There were a few things that needed some attention. When we arrived our room was not ready so we were given another room which also wasn't ready. We waiting half an hour before the room was cleaned. The bathroom was very nice aside from the dead bugs that were stuck to the wall. Cobwebs were above bathroom sink and tub. Bathroom door did not close and both could use a paint job. The bed sheets had red stains on them which did not sit well with us. There was a train running pretty much through the day and night. However, there is nothing that we could have done about the noise. We were not aware that the bedroom would not be made up every day. It would have been great had we known this ahead of time. Also, towels were not replaced. Had we known that, we would have made sure that we would hang the towels up instead of throwing them in the bathtub which is the usual procedure.

will stay here every time we visit Kingston beautiful view of water from our deck/patio room was excellent as well there is a dock that you can swim off or fish off as well as chairs and benches lake side also has barbeques for guest use
