Not the usual good service you’d get from premier inn. Breakfast was suddenly cancelled one morning. They were refurbishing the restaurant but said breakfast would still go ahead. Wouldn’t have minded the cancellation but I heard receptionist rudely tell other customers different reasons for it being cancelled. Next day went for breakfast. Most of the usual items were not available, bacon was burnt to a crisp, so wife couldn’t eat it. Still charged the full price. Toaster not working, mentioned it to a rather rude waiter, as did others. A female waitress just stood there doing nothing for whole time we were in the restaurant , whist young male did all the work- no wonder he was rude. Plus point though - maintenance man came, and replaced toaster with a friendly smile! Good on you sir. Two receptionists were not too friendly, but other two were very helpful and smiled a lot and sorted minor problem I had. If there’s a problem, please be honest and upfront and pleasant. That said, when stayed at this premier inn in the past, always been 4 or 5 star service.

Not the best I think the bad bit was on arrival the entrance stairs hallways needed a good hoovering Then on arrival at the room there was no heating reported to reception to no avail Feel sorry for the staff having to make excuses for the issues people endure In terms of value for money it was amazing but would have been very disappointed had we paid more

This hotel is looking very tired now. We have stayed in many Premier Inns and they do seem to be getting more dated and not as updated and fresh as previously known. This hotel is not as it's Premier Inn website suggests. We had mould on bathroom ceiling, veneer coming off furniture, dirty headboards. Breakfast was very basic offering only upshot was kids are still free to eat. They seem to have staffing issues also. It was a cheap find and it's beginning to show that it's not always the best value anymore...

I arrived at the hotel, i entered the room to find no shower gel. I asked the next morning for house keeping to replenish this, when i returned to hotel this had still not been done. WIFI non existent, i asked reception for the code for the ultimate WIFI and even this didn't work, there is no signal or 3G here. The sink was blocked and would back-up, i left one morning with a blocked sink and house keeping had come in to "clean" the room and i come back to find the sink hadn't been cleaned or unblocked. On the final night i noticed small bite marks/holes in the pillow, when i woke the next morning i had found some bite marks on my neck. I would expect a pretty consistent approach to a Premier Inn room, however i was met with a sub-parr experience which i would expect from a cheap BNB not over £200 that i paid. When i called this morning to speak with reception as i left a book behind i called multiple times and no one answered i called head office reservations and asked them to put me through with no answer so i drove there to hotel to collect the book that wasn't moved to lost property it had been moved to "the linen room" for some reason......

Restaurant closed for dinner unless pre-booked. Not told in advance. A list provided of local restaurants which suggests not the first time. Had to drive out for dinner, was looking forward to a glass of wine after a long drive. Would have cancelled and booked elsewhere if notified. Breakfast was poor. Room was good.

All Premier Inn reception and room comforts were as expected. However it was disappointing to learn that the adjacent Beefeater restaurant, also owned by Whitbread, was closed and that others were also in the process of closing. This was quite surprising to learn as they have always seemed to be well supported by Premier Inn guests and the local community

Stayed for one night. Standard Premier Inn - cheap, clean and tidy but soulless. The staff were great, particularly India in reception who was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations for a good local cafe. Hot water wasn’t working for a period in the morning for some reason, but kicked in a bit later.

Lovely Room, woeful catering. Had a premier plus room, very nice. Posh coffee machine, but it only makes cold coffee. Catering is hopeless. Prepaid breakfast unavailable, then badly cooked. Continental selection depleted and not restocked, no coffee available. Really really spoiled an otherwise nice trip.

Very shabby. Room smelt damp. Bath and shower dirty with mould. Carpet frayed and the whole room felt sticky. Since the restaurant is no longer a beefeater it’s very limited. No choice. Only one beer on tap and stock of the bar stock was sparse. Breakfast poor choice served by one stressed overworked lady. Shame what they have done to the brand. Give it a miss and stay somewhere else
