We stayed at Stevenson’s Inn for one night on our way to South Tahoe, and it was a great stop. The room was clean and spacious for our kids. The manager was especially friendly and even waited for us since we arrived late, which we really appreciated. It’s a simple, no-frills place but perfect for a quick overnight stay. Would definitely stay again if passing through.

The manager was very nice and helpful. We had fun playing ping pong in the game room. There’s a pool and hot tub but wasn’t warm enough to enjoy. Housekeeping needs to get the cobwebs out of the corners.
The price was within our budget. Easy walk to the beach and shopping. We had a wonderful time in Kings Beach.

Booked a room here to see a musician playing in Kings Beach. I was appalled when I arrived. The room looked horrible—holes in the walls, stench from not being cleaned, and management that complained his advertising was too much to give us anything better. I do not recommend this place unless you are backpacking and don’t mind a lot of filth.

My expectations were low, and so I wasn’t disappointed with the stay. I’m probably being generous with three stars. Owner was friendly, we discussed India (where he is from). Room probably had a makeover when Nixon was president. Prehistoric. Wouldn’t want to stay here for a long time. But fine for one night. Evenings are chilly in this part of Tahoe, but room was warm. A short stroll to lots of restaurants. The real estate will one day become a luxury resort, but for now, an affordable, if not exactly tempting crash pad.

Didn’t meet expectations
No AC, room could have been cleaner, not enough pillows, bed wasn’t super comfy, minimal parking, and just overall felt run down.

Check-in was easy, friendly staff. Room was good, except the lack of air conditioning. The box fan in the window worked fine to keep the room cool during the day. However, at night the room got too cold and had to wake up to turn it off. Still, for the price the room was a good value for the area.

Stevenson motel
Savings compared to other the motels in area was good. Places for food & gas were close by.
Service was good- just a older motel that hasn’t been updated in a long time.
