We stayed at Stevenson’s Inn for one night on our way to South Tahoe, and it was a great stop. The room was clean and spacious for our kids. The manager was especially friendly and even waited for us since we arrived late, which we really appreciated. It’s a simple, no-frills place but perfect for a quick overnight stay. Would definitely stay again if passing through.

The manager was very nice and helpful. We had fun playing ping pong in the game room. There’s a pool and hot tub but wasn’t warm enough to enjoy. Housekeeping needs to get the cobwebs out of the corners.
The price was within our budget. Easy walk to the beach and shopping. We had a wonderful time in Kings Beach.

My expectations were low, and so I wasn’t disappointed with the stay. I’m probably being generous with three stars. Owner was friendly, we discussed India (where he is from). Room probably had a makeover when Nixon was president. Prehistoric. Wouldn’t want to stay here for a long time. But fine for one night. Evenings are chilly in this part of Tahoe, but room was warm. A short stroll to lots of restaurants. The real estate will one day become a luxury resort, but for now, an affordable, if not exactly tempting crash pad.

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS! Do NOT stay here. Our experience here started with finding poop smeared on the toilet seat. We notified the owner on property and he cleaned it but that should have been the sign we took to leave, unfortunately we didn’t. Half of the electrical outlets didn’t work and were burnt out which is a major hazard and the whole room was filthy. There’s no way anyone actually stayed in this hotel and actually gave it any more than 1 star. After staying in room 21 for one night on the night of June 5th 202 , I woke up with over 100 bed bug bites. This has lead to some of the worst pain all over my body I have ever experienced. Do not stay here no matter how hard it is to find another hotel. Do yourselves a favor and pay the extra money to stay in a nicer hotel or just sleep in your car. If I could give no stars for this hotel I would.

It's a very basic motel. Don't expect much and you won't get much. There's a bed, there's a door, there's a shower, there's a sink... Not much more. It worked as a cheap place for a couple of nights, the location is great, the price is cheap. But it's very old and very dirty. The old part is hard to change, but it could be cleaner. It is not clean at all. So, adjust your expectations. I needed a place to spend a couple of nights on Memorial day, when other places are sold out and super-expensive, and it delivered that. But don't expect anything beyond the basics.
