"Kimberley is a small town in southwestern British Columbia, located on the Powder Highway loop, a popular route for skiers. If I weren't skiing, I probably wouldn't have had the chance to visit. So, to be honest, I didn't have high expectations until Susan (perhaps the owner or manager) led me into the lobby. But when I stepped into the lobby and reached the reception, I was impressed by the exquisite interior design, warm lighting, and sophisticated furniture! It's a three-story family-run hotel with Bavarian architectural style, probably only about ten rooms. The first floor has a waiting area, reception, and a large living room (used as a social area for guests); the second floor has guest rooms, a common area in the hallway with business desks and chairs, and a recreational area; the basement has a wine cellar, a restaurant and bar, a kitchen, and storage rooms. What I loved most was that each coffee table on the first floor had a beautifully printed landscape photography book! A real treat for photographers! The rooms have a loft-style roof, and everything was thoughtfully arranged. Although there were no small appliances, it didn't matter for a one-night stay. There are two parking spaces in front of the hotel, and several more free parking spaces on the other side of the road. The breakfast was also quite lavish! The coffee was the best I've ever had in a hotel! They also generously provided smoked salmon and ham, as well as my favorite Cottage Cheese! This is the most satisfying and unforgettable hotel I've stayed at in Canada in the past two and a half years! I really regret only booking one night."
