"We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and had an amazing experience! The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We felt right at home, thanks to the fantastic staff. A special shout-out to Niamh at reception - her warm welcome and excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. She's a credit to the hotel! All the staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. We can't wait to return - this hotel has become our favourite! We don't even know where to begin and how to thank everyone at Glasson Lakehouse enough for our amazing wedding day. From start to finish it really was amazing and looking back, there isn't a single thing we would change. Everything went so smoothly and better than we could ever have imagined. From the very first time i contacted Remi about viewing the venue, she, along with the whole wedding team were fantastic to deal with. We knew from the second we walked into the lobby that it was the right spot for us and it was actually the only venue we viewed. The weeks and days leading up to the wedding were stressful, but we can't thank Remi more for her responsiveness to all our emails. She replied within an hour of all my emails which was very reassuring particularly in the days leading up. No query was ever a problem and she made the whole process so easy. The day of speaks for itself - it was outstanding from start to finish. From the morning getting ready to our on site ceremony and drinks reception, everything was perfect. The dinner was amazing. Our guests were all raving about the food and the venue itself. Aileen and the rest of the team were also great and a huge support throughout the year and planning process. Stephen the banqueting manager was fantastic and was close by all weekend if we needed anything. It was great to have the same team available to us if needed all weekend. We had the best weekend of our lives and would love to do it all again! We would highly recommend Glasson Lakehouse, Remi, Aileen and the rest of the wedding team to any couple getting married!

Stayed in this hotel in September. A complete shambles from check in to check out. I would agree with a previous review that the rooms, despite their attempts to create a funky type of vibe, simply looked cheap and tacky . Breakfast on both mornings was mediocre at best. On one evening, they seated us in an annexe off the bar instead of the main restaurant fir dinner as they had lost our reservation. Similar issues to a previous review regarding a voucher that staff had confirmed was good to use in a telephone call at point of booking but refused to honour when we arrived. Following complaint i was offered 25% of next stay. Unfortunately I would not stay in this hotel again even if I had been given a 100% discount. ..

We went for dinner for my partners birthday over all unimpressed the price point of the food doesn't match what is delivered on the plate we had the confit duck for starters which was definitely bought, the plum balls on top had no flavor they need to be marinade in a suger syrup for more time and the pistachio nut added nothing as it was overpowered by the duck. the main course I got the rib eye, the steak was cooked almost fully through on one side and seared on the other , the Portobello mushrooms was so small it looked like a button mushrooms with caramelised onions, which was overpowered by the clearly store-bought crisp onions. the fondant potato had no flavor just not good at 38 euro price point got the parmesan chips for 6.50. I had the same thing at EP and unfortunately they were better at ep from a horse box. my partner got cod fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious but sadly the mellon ball potatoes were raw and the Mediterranean veg was crap no other words for it When we asked about desert there was only one item which was made in house the crème brulee which was lovely and the coffee was delicious the restaurant manager look like he just played 18 holes before he came to work and forgot to change from his golf attire I get that it isn't peek season but there is no need to just phone it in , I spent over 150 for 2 people and just unimpressed. I get Glasson is a destination and has some fantastic amenities but I wouldn't go there for just food again

Fantastic location, with fabulous views and scenery. The food and general service was impeccable. I had an issue with my room which was rectified to my full satisfaction by Gary and Jane.

Pros: Food was good. Porridge and poached eggs were nice for breakfast. They also had fruit available and restocked regularly. We also enjoyed dinner. Decor is quirky. Rooms are nice and spacious with controlled heating. Beds are comfortable. Nice open fire in lobby. Hot tub was great and great staff working in this section of hotel. Outdoor pool was cool. Cons: Rooms are noisy. Woke up every morning because of noise. Shower wasn't hot enough. Customer service very poor in restaurant. Got locked out of room twice as key card was faulty.

We had a lovely stay at the Glasson Lakehouse Hotel. The view of nature is absolutely stunning, and the room was very comfortable, especially the beds. It’s quiet, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. The only downside was the breakfast. The buffet felt a bit limited, and you have to order a few items separately, which made it less convenient. A big shout-out to Jane at reception, she was amazing! Super friendly and gave us great restaurant recommendations in the area. Would definitely stay again for the comfort and the beautiful surroundings.
