I have stayed at Nimbo numerous times over the last few years, usually staying in one of the cottages, this time I stayed in room 10 ( Lachlan Suite) The room and view are both lovely however it is noisy with a door below banging loudly- as staff come and go to work. The main guest entrance door also bangs closed aggressively - soft closers on these doors would make all the difference I think. I had the tasting menu paired with wines which was great, as usual Lucy did a lovely job explaining the wines and their provenance. Finally, checking out the next morning I had spent over 500 AUD. Once I had paid, reception offered me a coffee ‘for the road’ I assumed this to be free of charge ( a simple good PR exercise) however I was asked for 6.5 AUD-I swiftly declined as it hadn’t yet been made. I really believe a coffee or bottle of water free of charge is a lovely ‘goodbye’ but charging for it is simply up selling.

Recently, I led a 5 day retreat at Nimbo for three painters. While we were very mindful with the use of my furniture and tarps, the cottage verandah allowed us to work outside at this gorgeous time of year. Each participant loved being at Nimbo. Our every need was met, and other needs pre-empted. Staff were warm and kind and went the extra mile for us every single day. All our meals were superb, and everything went smoothly. Very grateful for the role Nimbo and staff played in making our retreat unforgettable - thank you very much!

We stopped here overnight while driving from Sydney to Melbourne. It was a slow season with few guests. The hotel resembled countless inns and B&B's in New England...at least in our American eyes. Rooms are quaint and cozy with comfy sleeping arrangement. We also had an outstanding dinner at the restaurant downstairs.

Fantastic place to stay. We had a beautiful upstairs room with stunning valley views. Exceptional food and service. Our mains of the Duck and the trout were superb. Entrees were the special lobster roll which was full of tasty lobster and Kangaroo tartar also brilliant. If you want something truly special it's well worth it.

This was as blissful as it looks. Couldn't fault a thing. We enjoyed the accommodation, walks and food from Three Blue Ducks was amazing! We booked the winter package & thought it was great value for money! Will be back again for some more R&R!
