Outer Banks Motor Lodge

I can’t say enough good things about the Outer Banks Motor Lodge in Kill Devil Hills. Linda, the manager who runs the office, is absolutely phenomenal. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. No matter the hour, she’s always available and ready to help with anything you might need. The housekeeping team has remained consistent over the past several years—and they are truly the best I’ve ever seen. The rooms are spotless, and with the recent updates, they’re even more comfortable and inviting. The staff’s flexibility and dedication really stood out during the recent hurricane. Communication was clear, timely, and reassuring. They made sure every guest was well-informed and had all necessary supplies, which was incredibly appreciated during a stressful time. Huge kudos to the entire team at Outer Banks Motor Lodge. This place is a hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Do not overlook this quaint motel! I had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach and ocean. It was clean and very comfortable. The rocking chairs outside the room were perfect! I stayed 2 nights as a solo decompression trip and I wanted to stay another week. I will definitely be back again, with my partner next time! The host/owner was so personable and accommodating. Even called me to let me know my room was ready for check in early!

Wow! The management and staff knock it out of the park. A perfect couples destination for a quick getaway to the Outerbanks. Exceeded our expectations!

Very nice and friendly staff , the rooms were great very nice and clean and some good cold air . The bathrooms were very nice as well and were nice and clean . Will definitely be staying again .

The room I stayed in was nice, but the commotion from people playing music till 11 pm outside my room was ridiculous. And parking was right tight being almost all parallel parking and people driving significantly large trucks taking up two spots at a time. So was only a few parking spots available.

Shower was the best feature in my opinion - hot water was plentiful and water pressure was AMAZING. Room was spotless, beds were comfortable, and I found ample nice quality pillows. My only beef was the room charge for a single night was hiked up due to Memorial Day weekend which SUCKS and the late checking in time of 4PM was extremely inconvenient as well. I paid an exorbitant price for a less than 24 hour stay.
