Very Good

just spent the last 4 days at the Springhill court hotel in Kilkenny and was plesantly surprised by this hotel, the roadworks and noise didnt help but the managment and staff more than made up for that, they were most helpful and no mater where you met one of the staff they would ask if they could help with anything. the room was a bit small but spotless clean and fresh towels and toiletries every day. the breakfast was self service and was hard to beat. the dinner menu needs to be looked at ASAP, there was 3 choices on the menu none of which was suitable for vegetarians ( which my partner is ) so she had to order a pasta dish from the kids menu, ( not good enough ). plenty of secure parking just outside the doors and the city center 5 minutes away, what more could you ask for.

Springhill court hotel don’t value inclusion. Local customers with disabilities and autism have been attending here for years. It has become a vital hub for most of these people and they are now more than doubling the price for the swimming pool from €5 per visit to €12!!! No inclusion and no consideration for the most vulnerable in our society. It’s sad to see that this mindset still exists

I was in Springhill hotel Kilkenny early January this year ,during that particular visit I became unwell .To say that members of staff particularly those who work in swimming pool were brilliant is an understatement. Thanks to their quick thinking and that of the rest of the clients in the area ,the result could have been a lot worse .So thank you to everyone from a very grateful client .I would recommend this hotel to everybody and especially the leisure center area .

After working outside in the rain all day we were looking forward to staying in a nice warm comfortable hotel with a hot shower warm meal and a few drinks. The Restaurant was closed the bar was closed the room was freezing the shower was cold. We could get a drink sent to the room couldn’t drink it it was stinking. The breakfast the next morning was ordered for us and was horrible. We spent €200 for a horrible night. When brought to the manager she old had excuses about anything that was wrong. We got no apologies or offered some of our money back. The manager had no management skills or customer service just too busy making excuses and push blame onto her guests. Such a shame as the actual hotel was decent and could be booming under the right management Do not waste your money on this hotel you’ll get a proper ran hotel for the same money or you’d get better service in a b&b for half the price.

I don’t normally get time to leave reviews but we had such a fabulous time in The SpringHill Hotel and the staff took such good care of us (in particular Emma Jayne, Avril and Marie) that I couldn’t not give them and this beautiful venue a mention. Myself and my partner attended a wedding here and ended up staying two extra days as we both agreed it was a 10 out of 10 ⭐️ experience from start to finish. The rooms, the food and the staff were just top class. We didn’t want to leave and will certainly be back.

For a family of 5, rooms are rubbish - small room with little space. All rooms seem to be the same size whether you are a family or couple. We did not get great value for money and I would not recommend this Hotel in Kilkenny

Shoddy stay. Arrived on 22nd June for 2 nights stayed 1 and booked out. Went to paddock bar at 19.20 to be told kitchen closes at 19.30 lovely girl managed to get us food. Then told bar closes at 21.00 and you can sit in residents bar where children are running everywhere. Man on reception had to open bar and didn't know how to make a Smithwicks shandy partner had to show him. It's a farce, we always stay here but doubt if we will return. Very dissapointed as we went for a friend's birthday which is today and the whole experience was just bad.

My friend had Booked this hotel in December 2021 for a group of 25 friends, everything was booked and paid for i.e transport/ activities just to name a few, bus was non refundable which was €1500, we rang the hotel the start of may and to our dismay they told us our rooms were cancelled and that was that, didn’t have anything organised for us or wouldn’t assist us in finding somewhere else and it’s too late now to find somewhere now, I would highly recommend not staying in this hotel as they are not reliable, if I could give no star on this place I would……. A place not to be booked….stay clear

Some staff are really nice. Was overcharged, someone else was given our food. There is alot of Ukraine staying in hotel, have nothing against this but children are doing knick nacks on doors, following us in the playground, sitting out in corridors and running a muck. This is not fair on paying customers

Arrived in the paddock bar in which we waited to be seated, we then took a seat after a couple of staff had noticed us but we were not greeted. After a length of time we had then realised that seven staff were standing around the bar empty handed talking amongst one another, to make things worse one staff member had made eye contact with us numerous times but still no attempt was made to even give us menus. We then took it upon ourselves to go up and ask to be looked after in which we were. The food arrived relatively quick but we were certainly not impressed by the portion size. As we had already gone for a swim in their leisure centre, we were craving a good feed. We ordered two goujons and chips expecting a decent sized portion, what we got was quite the opposite it resembled a portion from the kids menu. To our amazement the bill came to €17, we had asked for the bill but once again, still ended up having to the bar. We are highly unhappy with the service provided as well as the food/pricing. We both genuinely left still feeling hungry. I can guarantee we won’t be back or recommending any time soon. I know a lot of places in Kilkenny in which you could get a bigger portion for that price.

Home from home! Some familiar, friendly faces - Dawn in Reservations was great sorting our booking. Caroline welcomed everyone at reception, (Queen) Carmel, Mags and Anita all very welcoming in the restaurant. Some 'new' faces - Tim (cleared tables in jig-time); With 120 people at each sitting, Enda, William, Catherine, Victoria and Esther worked so hard to get everyone served. Andrew kept our room immaculate. Denis in the pool was very friendly. Thanks to Everyone for an enjoyable break. Plenty of free parking available. A visit to the Reptile Zoo is recommended. Kilkenny itself is a lovely town to saunter through - do visit Allans shop for lots of household items. ENJOY!

Like other reviewers, there was a stain on the carpet in our room. The room also got very cold at night and there were no extra blankets given. However, these issue were mild in comparison to the noise during the night in the corridor. There was continuous banging of doors and shouting. In fact it was so bad I had to call reception at 1 am to sort it out. The security guard had trouble hearing me on the phone as the reception area was equally as loud and out of control. I struggle to understand why there was still so many people even down there at that hour as I was told the bar would close at 11:30 pm. Needless to say I slept very little between the noise and the cold. I didn't get to use the pool next day as I was so exhausted. This was very disappointing as it was the real reason I chose to stay here. I would have conveyed this disappointment to staff, only on check-out we weren't even asked how our stay was. The only positive was the staff were nice (minus the receptionist at check-out) and the breakfast wasn't bad.
