Silken Thomas Accommodation

We stayed at the hotel on the way down from a business trip to Dublin. We were travelling with our five months old daughter and the hotel made all accommodation to make our stay as much comfortable as possible. We were really pleased. Fantastic dinner and breakfast too! Room was clean, comfortable and spacious (we bought a triple room to have extra space to fit buggy). We will be back for sure!

My husband and I stayed at Silken Thomas for just one night, as a place to sleep before heading to Dublin Airport. We'd been traveling all over Ireland so were pretty tired and needed a good night's sleep before a long day of travel back to California. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this place is. Super quiet room, tastefully decorated, very nice bedding and modern bathroom. Our rate included breakfast which was honestly our favorite breakfast of our entire trip. We also had a wonderful dinner there the night we checked in--everything was perfect and the wait staff were really sweet. I also highly recommend a visit to the tourist office nearby--I learned a lot about Kildare and St. Bridget. Also visited the Cathedral--very different from others ones we'd seen, and there's a wonderful hardware shop across from the hotel that has some unique gifts and very friendly staff.

My husband, youngest daughter and I recently stayed for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. We received such a warm and friendly welcome from the staff, and everyone we met was lovely and went above and beyond to be helpful. Just as an example we discovered that the sash window in our bathroom was stuck when we arrived, and could not be opened or closed any further. We mentioned this to the staff as we arrived for our dinner at the restaurant and they ensured us that they would send someone over to look at it. They did while we were having dinner and by the time we returned to our room it had already been fixed. I was so impressed. From shopping tips and discount cards and ideas about where to go and directions the staff could not have been more helpful. They really made our stay very special, even singing Happy Birthday to our daughter when they brought us desserts in the restaurant, as I had mentioned when booking our trip that we were celebrating her birthday. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, and I loved the rainfall shower in the bathroom. Didn’t want to get out of it! Overall we would love to have stayed for longer. If you’re looking for somewhere special to stay while enjoying all the local amenities, including Kildare Village less than 10 minutes walk away, Newbridge with Newbridge Silverware and the White Water shopping centre, and the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, then look no further. I highly recommend a stay at the Silken Thomas. It’s a real gem of a place, and everyone there is lovely. Well worth a visit.

We booked this accommodation for two nights (triple room).A perfect size for my two daughters and I. We wanted retail therapy at the nearby Kildare village and Newbridge shopping centre. This was the perfect location. Comfortable (with fans for humid nights) great food and hospitality. Great value too.Highly recommend the Silken Thomas.

This was my 3rd stay at the Silken Thomas and I think it was the best yet. I was so impressed with all of the staff from bar to restaurant where service is completely on point and super friendly. Big shout out particularly to Beata who was incredibly warm and professional and an excellent example of how customer service should be done.
