"I’ve become a huge fan of this resort, despite a rocky start. Initially, check-in was a bit of a nightmare. The owner, who looked quite stern, told me my booking had been canceled for a bizarre reason. There was a language barrier, and the translation app wasn't helping – it felt like we were talking past each other. I honestly thought my child and I would end up spending the night in the middle of nowhere. However, it turns out she's actually very kind despite her tough exterior. She made me wait a little, but eventually arranged a room for us and even upgraded us to a cabin. The room facilities were new, and the hygiene was excellent. The overall environment is beautiful, and the breakfast selection was extensive. We had a delightful two-night stay here."

"We stayed in Khuzhir village for four nights. Since we couldn't book four consecutive nights, we changed rooms at the hotel. The new room was more comfortable and had a more practical layout. The hotel restaurant was also a highlight. Lake Baikal is very cold in winter, and we ate dinner there every day. There was a charcoal fire for warmth, singers performed, and occasionally there were impromptu performances by the staff, making our cold nights much more cozy!"

"This is a very primitive Russian hotel in a pure wooden house. There is only one toilet on each floor, and the hot water is gone. It is not crowded now in the off-season. You can eat breakfast and dinner directly in the hotel, but you need to make a reservation one day in advance, otherwise you can only go out to find food.
