The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were dated, need make over especially the carpet in the room.

This place is 5-stars for what it is, which is a clean, comfortable room as close to Mt. Rushmore as you can get. BE AWARE that this is an OLD property, as most/many of the hotels in the surrounding area are. So, you’re not going to get a large, sprawling lobby, elegant decor, shiny new furnishings, etc. The air conditioning unit is a bit noisy, but it works. That being said, it is evident that the owners have invested themselves in making the most of what they have, with comfortable bedding, the addition of mini fridges and microwaves to the rooms, and a coffee/tea bar in the lobby stocked with fresh coffee all day. Most importantly, the rooms are CLEAN! Everything is in good repair and clean, and that’s what matters most! This place offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay for your trip to Mt. Rushmore. And yes, as many others have mentioned, you can view Mt. Rushmore from the property, which is a nice bonus!

Good, clean and value for money. It felt very special to be able to see Mt Rushmore from our room. If this is important to you, please ask for a room with the view. You can see Mt Rushmore from outside the hotel, but not from every room.

Outdated but comfortable
As many reviews have mentioned, this is an older motel. The furniture and decor are outdated. But it was comfortable and had a good price point. The receptionist was fabulous.

Staff was very friendly and offered recommendations of the area. The hotel is dated but was clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. It was close to downtown Keystone and had a nice view of Mt. Rushmore. We would stay there again.

Staff was super helpful. We had a dead battery and she went home to get jumper cables for us to get our battery going, which we really appreciated. Wonderful service. We highly recommend this hotel.
