Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection

We had a great stay at Playa Largo. Great sunset views, nice accommodations and super helpful staff like Jacqueline, Edwin and Hector. Also a great start to the day at the Bonvoy lounge breakfast.

This is me and my girlfriend’s second year at this location. The quiet vibes of Key Largo in September coupled with the charming resort provides for such a pleasant experience, we love to spend our anniversary here! Take advantage of the water sport rentals, the water and atmosphere is so serene. The pool is amazing too, right on the beach! If you go to Sol by the Sea, try the curry chicken. Nothing better to pair with your cocktail and the view of the ocean! The chicken is so good, crispy and juicy and delicious. If you want to venture off the resort, Hogs Heaven is about a 15 minute drive down the road, and has some great barbecue (and pool tables!). For our anniversary, I wanted to surprise my lady with a nice bottle of champagne. I went down to the front desk, and alerted the attendant of my plan. They sent up a bucket of ice to help me out and it was delivered within minutes! Time was of the essence, and they really pulled through. Chryss helped with a quick and efficient checkout. See you guys again next year!

Our stay at Playa Largo Resort was nothing short of magical, and while the setting itself is paradise--white sands, crystal-clear water, and a property that's as stunning as it is comfortable--it was the people and thoughtful touches that made the experience truly unforgettable. One team member in particular deserves the highest praise. From prior to our arrival, Yoly went above and beyond to make us feel not only welcomed but personally cared for. She didn't just pass us off and treat us like another number; she remembered details we had mentioned, followed-up throughout our stay, and checked in at just the right times to ensure everything was perfect. For example, when she learned we were pregnant traveling for the last time as a couple without a child, she was kind enough to share details about the excellent pre-natal massage therapist at the spa and couples spa option, which were exceptional and I highly recommend you trying. She helped us secure a romantic waterfront table and ensured that we were taken care of (Sol is excellent, highly recommend). There are lots of great options to stay in Key Largo, but they don't have Yoly; seriously management do whatever it takes to keep her. Everyone at the resort, should be taking and learning from Yoly's play book as a true masterclass in travel hospitality. She should absolutely be training the front desk who could learn, grow, and improve from her approach to hospitality (front desk staff needs works, was a bit inexperienced, and didn't seem like they genuinely cared about guests--they need training). Overall, we wanted to stay on property and spend more money with the resort because of how kindly we were treated in large part by Yoly. In today's overly commercialized age, I want to talk to a human who feels like they actually care. We got that at Playa Largo from Yoly's human-centric approach and from the grounds staff (special shout out to Armando who seems to be everywhere all at once, including defending guests against over eager squirrels) and the excellent wait staff throughout the property (special shout outs to Taylor at the pool bar, Greg at La Mer, and Vanessa at Sol). Even if you aren't fortunate enough to work directly with Yoly, Playa Largo is an exceptional resort with great options for couples and families alike. The spa is great, being so close to the water is convenient, and the activities like Eventide and S'mores at night are a lot of fun. My husband and I did not want to leave. I am feeling well rested and relaxed as a new mom to be. And I look forward to coming back with my family again and again!
