Dove Creek Resort & Marina, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

We enjoyed our week at Dove Creek Lodge. -Pros-The location is wonderful. It's on the water and right next to a restaurant that has good food and live music. The other nice thing is that they have paddle boats and other water activities for your use for free. You get a nice breakfast every morning. It's continental, but still a lot of choices. The hotel for the most part is updated and they've done a good job of creating a relaxing Caribbean type atmosphere. Cons-We did not find the front desk to be particularly helpful with area info and attractions. Don't expect to get a huge welcome. The older woman at the front desk is not a real conversationalist. We had a feeling that she was one of the owners, because you would think that saying good morning and conversing with guests when they start talking to you would be a part of the job. Some things for the hotel to consider-our room only had one towel bar and while this sounds nit-picky, when you go to the pool and have wet bathing suits and towels (we brought our own towels) you need a place to hang them up. Also, the size of the pool area was fine for that size hotel. At the beginning of the week, there were only maybe 4-6 people at the pool, but when all the weekenders started showing up, there weren't enough chairs for everyone. There would be enough space to add some more chairs. Also the chairs are showing some age. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and plan to return in the future.

Old resort needing lots of TLC. Expected more for the price. Not really any amenities but an amenities fee. Parking was atrocious. Expected better from what is branded as “Trademark Collection”. A stay at LaQuinta was better.

it might be a little dated, but it is definitely one of the best hotels on Key Largo. The staff are friendly, nice and all overall amazing. They make the stay totally worth it. The view is perfect and it steps to a great restaurant that you can eat Bayside and watch the sunset. Call the hotel directly for the best rates. And make sure you check out the hammocks for a snooze. They also have bikes and kayaks to use whenever you want along with a barbecue grill. I mean, I’m not cooking for myself while I’m on vacation, but there is potential. Also I did work from my hotel room one of the days and the Internet was perfect. Definitely get one of the rooms with a screened in patio!

Beautiful place, Lazaro and Andrea were phenomenal ! Super nice atmosphere and staff! Deff stay here if you get the chance !

Not as pictured. Very old lodge directly on a mangrove. So very obnoxious smell all the time. Could not be outside at all without smell. Room was old and had musty smell. Mattress was new but sheets old and rough. Shower pressure was awful. Had a hard time even finding the property. Probably was a sign.
