"We had a lovely 2 night stay. The room was great and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast too. Very handy for Helvellyn and walking around the reservoir. The view over Thirlmere was gorgeous and we enjoyed the evening sun set sitting overlooking the garden."

"We stayed in Room 4 which was clean with very comfy beds - just what we needed after walking catbells and the thirlmere loop. All I can say is Lorna the host is amazing. Nothing is too much and she will help in any way she can. Her breakfast is amazing and you can mix it up how you want. I particularly liked the fried bread!!! The special thing about this b and b is the little extras biscuits marshmallows every jam and chocolate spread you can think of. Snack bars for your walks. Just a really attentive host!!!"

"Steep stairs, small dated room, sink was in same room as bed instead of bathroom. Hardly any surface top to put anything down - no shelf for toiletries on the sink. Was close to town centre but no private parking had to find somewhere on the street."

"The room was above the restaurant, and the bathroom smelled like the kitchen. After a few days, all the clothes hanging on the floor were covered in the smell. Flies or flies were constantly flying into the room for several days, and it was difficult to get rid of them. The room was said to be 10 square meters, but it was quite cramped. The restaurant was nice, the breakfast was plentiful and plentiful, and the wait staff were very friendly."

"Greeted with a lukewarm warm reception upon arrival. No assistance offered to take the luggage to the room which was up three flights of stairs that got narrower towards the top. The breakfast server huffed and was visibly annoyed and upset when I dared to ask for a second coffee! I suggest that they invest in a coffee machine instead of serving single cup sized cafetières. The family room was a good size but had fairly low ceiling beams which were pointed out by 15 signs which made the room look more like a building site than a bedroom. No refrigerator in the room and the safe did not work. The location is around 6 miles from Keswick. Nice swimming pool but access via the door to the changing rooms does not work all of the time."
