Carriage Barn Inn

I am delighted that we chose to stay at the Carriage Barn In. Our room hit the all-important three C’s- cute, clean and comfortable We were greeted by very affable owner Joe, who is an obvious people’s person, wiling to answer any questions about the inn or Keene. It’s a lovely place and I believe their website photos don’t do it justice. Thoughtful attention to detail throughout to ensure guests have everything they need. We stayed at the Monadnock Room and it was New England perfect. Shower a bit small, but bathroom is very clean. Loved our metal headboard bed, but most important-it was comfortable! There is no TV in the rooms, but there is a sitting area with a large TV and a smaller sitting area for relaxing. The decor throughout is appropriately New England, and quite tasteful. As for breakfast, it is continental but plentiful with great coffee. Don’t think about it twice for your stay in Keene.

Dry relaxing and low key and plenty to choose for self serve breakfast and a well equipped kitchen and couches or tables and a nice host who we met in the morning. Room was comfortable . Nice walk to downtown . Great location to walk the campus. 5 minutes to a super coffee shop and the co-op .

My mother and I stayed for a night the week before Christmas - I am local and this was my gift to her - she came from out of town. We also attended a holiday show. Joe, the innkeeper, greeted us at the door and asked us what are breakfast preferences were for the next morning. The room was beautiful (we stayed in the Crawford Room, which contains furniture that belonged to the actress Joan Crawford) and there was a story about the furniture sitting on the dresser she owned. So cool. It was also very quiet and the bed was extra comfy - I slept so well. The inn is set up like a home; and we were able to curl up on the couch and watch Netflix that night it was so cozy. The next morning Joe had set out all the breakfast foods we’d asked for - bagels, muffins, fresh fruit and coffee and then some and sat with us for a chat while we enjoyed it. It was such a lovely experience; my mother can’t stop talking about it. If I could give this inn 10 stars I would. We will most definitely be back.

A quaint and beautiful place with peaceful people and friendly owners. Feels like home away from home. Walking distance to downtown Keene and centrally located to everything in the surrounding areas. Comfortable rooms, immaculately clean property and interior spaces. Love this inn and looking forward to returning soon!

I stayed at the Carriage Inn for two nights in early Feb 2023. I was here for a memorial. The room was great! Very comfortable and clean. There was a massive cold snap during my stay (down to -17 degrees!) but the room and facilities worked great throughout. The hosts were super responsive to my communication throughout the stay. I will definitely stay here again!

My daughter and I stayed in the twin room when visiting colleges in the area. The room was clean & comfortable and was a great value as the chain hotels in the area were double the price. I thought I'd take a chance since we'd be getting in late and leaving early and I'm so glad I did! Joe was a very friendly host and there was a simple but good assortment of breakfast foods offered. I would not hesitate to stay here again. This was my daughter's first time in a bed & breakfast...she loved it!

Super positive experience! The room is quiet, comfortable and clean. Joe is a kind and attentive host. He laid out a delicious, fresh breakfast with my favorite yogurts, berries, crossants and even picked up oat milk for coffee! I could not be more pleased. Will definitely be staying here again
